Movie was pretty good to me. I have this rank high in all of the alien franchise movies even though I am more of a Predator fan. How are you doing today?

Oh lemme explain about Jean “dying” in Dark Phoenix. She actually didn’t die at all, but some people thought she did because she basically exploded😅 Her human body was destroyed because she was being reborn and evolved into the Phoenix Force! That’s also why Jessica’s character told her that it was her “destiny to evolve into the greatest force in the galaxy.”

Great movie, and a great review. honestly this is what the x-men should have been a bit more Rated R.
@chiguy_3 ай бұрын
Agreed. too much going on to try to make things SO MUCH BIGGER and Better.. but keeping the run time low (ish). I would have loved to see this be like a 2 part thing to give that character development which was needed in Apocalypse. As for Dark Phoenix - I was so hopeful to only be crushed within mins watching this. the idea of them going cosmic could have brought in galactus - yet they tried to do something really different.... but nope you are right they did not want to do any of that.
@johnatonhassett78923 ай бұрын
You know what makes Xmen apocalypse better? Watch the opening to Dark Phoenix, and as soon as it cuts to the title card; turn it off and then watch Xmen Apocalypse! Not only does it make sense chronologically, but it makes Charles and Jean's relationship and mind battle with Apocalypse so much more meaningful. And also, there's no mention in Dark Phoenix's opening of Charles messing with Jean's mind; that was only addressed during the Cerebro scene! Xmen Apocalypse is a lot better now as a result.
@johnatonhassett78923 ай бұрын
If we go off this logic, Dark Phoenix is no longer canon, making Xmen apocalypse the true finale for the mainline team. Charles encourages Jean to "Let go" of the constraints holding back the Phoenix inside her to defeat Apocalypse; perfectly contrasting Charles subjogating Jean's Phoenix persona in the previous timeline. I like to interpret the "Let go Jean" line as a direct reference to the OP Phoenix powers she used during the car crash!
@AndrewPahl223 ай бұрын
I don’t really mind that way of thinking. It’s a real shame that this was the direction they went afterwards. Such a jumbled mess
@johnatonhassett78923 ай бұрын
@@AndrewPahl22 Completely agree. Between the events of Xmen Apocalypse and Logan, they should have been making multiple spin off movies with the sinister Essex Corporation spawning subsidiaries such as Transigen in the background; all to suppress the X Gene. Not Dark Phoenix🤦♂️

it was trying to put some tension with the romantic side. Just remember they were friends before they were "enemies".. they just have different world views and how to fix it but still even played chess at the end. it would have been interesting to see what they would have done for the 4th. instead they decided to rebooot.. but, I have to admit I liked where they started back from.. wasn't a huge fan of how the bad guy was but, wasn't horrible. Now the question is, what power would you want and why?
@chiguy_4 ай бұрын
all about showing the actual potential of powers. How one can be used for good or evil. such a fun movie and spot on with the violence. if this was a rated R u would have seen the blood. so close to having that it would have been glorious. anyway. keep up the fun vids cheers.

To be honest i wasn't expecting it to be any sort of good.. this is the nail on the coffin for this franchise, might fire up the original on halloween night to cleanse my mind Nice video too, thanks

Hard to take this serious with the reminiscence poster in the background. Fair play if you don’t like nope. I personally thought it was a solid 9/10. I’m not seeing the nitpicks that people are talking about with the story. They all seem kind of forced.

I agree, it was a little disappointing. The chimp subplot, like you said I understand why it was there but it still felt unnecessary. I found the first hour kinda boring and didn’t really get invested until the second hour. That was when the movie picked up for me. Still, I think I liked it more than Us. Great review 👍

The hope I have with grogu and mando is that He (baby yoda not grogu) will remember a lot of his training - they will go back to the old planet with the mandalorians were made, Boba fett will go there to and join his quest. and after Mando gets the cleanse Grogu will show him how to use the dark saber. and he will rule .. HAHA either way it will be different to see what happens now with Boba fett now ruling and how this will probably re write the last trilogy with rey and kylo.

nothing wrong with a cash grab as long as it is done well. this one was done okay. and to me I would put this up towards a 3.5 stars based on the other cash grab horror movies. Most likely I feel the brother and sister will become the new killers if they try to go for a 6th.. and it will be called "final scream" were all the OGs get wipped out and then they take the masks off and put them over them and the bro and sister say we finally beat them. look it was THEM the whole time (them being sidney and gal) they were the puppet masters ... just my prediction. anyway good review as always. cheers.

Nice vid review. So disappointing that Lana took the Matrix series and flushed it down the toilet. Lana didnt even bring back any of the original production team including the film editor Zach Staedberg who did Bound; Matrix 1-3. Instead, Lana used a TV editor with hardly any film editing experience (Joseph Jett Sally). They all have said they were not asked by Lana which is scandelous. I'm not buying the whole WB narrative either because why would you disreapect the Matrix IP and its fans. Also Lana had 20years of thinking time of this movie and a massive budget to work with. I'd much rather WB did it without Lana and brought back all the original production team, choreographers, screenwriters, FX and editors. M4 is defo not worthy of being called a Matrix film 😣

Finally saw this movie so I am now watching your reaction... Honestly - There are soooo many good parts that were givin to all the characters.. SOOO many good call backs, sooo many great moments to complete other people's stories and soooo much fun with Stephen LOL. which it is weird. I would love to see where they take ned/MJ further and if he will ever truly tell anyone who he is. The greatest thing they really did was to push the boundary with every person involved. From acting, to being honest with in their own person (villain/hero) letting some AGE show and just allow how things got down and dirty. also soooo agreed about Willem Dafoe. great review as always cheers.
