Did Brunswick Mountain on July 28th, 2023. Best views I've ever seen. I could see all the way to Mount Tantalus and Judge Howay. The descent was tough on knees though. Took 9 hours in total. About 5 hours up and 3 hours down. Spent 1 hr on the summit. Visibility was not optimal but not bad. A mostly sunny day.

Could not agree more on the view from the top. I remember doing the hike long ago and the view was magnificent. I hope I can do this hike again soon. I am very glad that you had a nice time up there. Keep hiking!

@@trekkerpedia-adventures I will do Golden Ears hopefully summer 2024. Is the scramble at the top more difficult than the very steep but wide open part of Brunswick?
@trekkerpedia-adventures11 ай бұрын
@@tankhistoryfordummies Unfortunately I have never been able to make it to peak :( I always returned from 500 meters before the peak (thrice :( ) But based on what others shared. It's not as intimidating as Brunswick. Though I think my friends mentioned an easy rope section I guess. But I would guess it's not that intimidating
An interesting part of Bali - well done Trekkerpedia.

Hi .. where do we park for this hike ?
@trekkerpedia-adventures Жыл бұрын
Mountain View road (where AllTrails takes you to the trail head) is a dead end road and there is only 3-4 parking spots. If you are super early, you can find a spot. Otherwise, you will have to park along the road in the neighbourhood on the way up. Park where you find a spot and walk to the trailhead.

thanks for your video, it helps me a lot for preparing hitting this trail. Went to hike this trail yesterday, it is definitely difficult and not a trail for beginners. Video can show how the terrain looks liked but only know how hard to climb up after Alder Flats after actually go on it.
@trekkerpedia-adventures Жыл бұрын
You're very welcome! I'm glad to hear that my video was helpful to you in preparing for the trail. Hiking experiences can often be quite different from what we anticipate based on visuals alone. It's great that you took the time to explore the trail yourself, but I understand that it might have been more challenging than expected, especially after Alder Flats. I hope you had a good time.
@cutterdevil Жыл бұрын
@@trekkerpedia-adventures Very true. I knew the trail is roughed and involved scrambling after Alder Flats, but I really didn't anticipate the actual difficulty. Both of my legs got a lot of punishment for a day trip, but it's worth for the harsh work.
@trekkerpedia-adventures Жыл бұрын
I can certainly understand where you're coming from! It sounds like the trail after Alder Flats really put your legs to the test with all that scrambling. But you know what they say, the best things in life often come with some hardship. Despite the pushing day trip, it seems like you found the journey to be rewarding and worth the effort :) Happy hiking!
