Fabrika Tbilisi is one of the most vibrant and unique spots in Europe. It would fit perfectly in cities like Tokyo or Seoul, but in Europe, its vibe is truly one of the best.

hi. we are unfamiliar with cost of constructing houses in Brazil. You may reach out to the architect on their website for inquiries. The link is in the description. 👍

5:33 this is an interesting comment actually. Something I’ve been grappling with is, is the public right? Are we adding value architecturally in the string of time from the pyramids till the year 5000?
@WhatsYourPerspective20235 ай бұрын
There is indeed a constant pulling ang tugging between preserving historical elements for sentimental/nostalgic/culture reasons and modernizing our cities that fits within our current culture. Add also to the fact that architects seem to have been partly dogmatized by the modernist movement. We can to some degree judge it based on its beauty - Venustas, (the rest of course are almost a given) and in this case, beauty can be subjective. So it's really hard to justify if we are in fact adding value to the architecture throughout history, since there are a lot of parameters to judge architecture by. We are both in on this journey of discovery and rationalizing our intent in architecture. But that's a good question to talk about..

It's a beautiful design. It reminds me of a lot the Bridge House by Dan Brunn. I also enjoy the similarities between this type of building on some of the house from the 50's and 60's by architects like Eichler and John Harvey Carter. Would like to hear your thoughts on this.
@WhatsYourPerspective20235 ай бұрын
Definitely! We agree, we also had that similar vibe towards the design, like that of the early-mid 20th century modern houses. this one has more texture and love the porosity of the design as well.

Unfortunately bamboo is illegal to grow in most states in 🇺🇸

Really? That is unfortunate. We can only speculate it is because it would be an invasive species and harmful to the local ecology.

Bamboo design is based on culture. I love it intricate landscape design. I appreciate intricate hybrid uses of bamboo, live plants and structure designs etc. Beyond bamboo's design uses I'm always seriously impressed with the fearless use of bamboo in scaffolding in Asia. This show the difference in the understanding of bamboos strengths and use cases. Why isn't bamboo the major remedy for global paper product?

Also I have a suggestion that may help catapult the popularity of this channel. Try to get an interview/discussion with the architect/designer of 'Kojima Productions' office space (you may need a JP translator). I think a huge amount of people would be interested to watching something like that.

I dont think this space in particular actually managed to acheive a lot of the things it sought out to, and maybe even sought out to do some of the wrong things anyway, but I do really appreciate this channel. I am very interested in this sector of design and architecture. I subscribed, hoping to see a lot more offices/coporate spaces and discussions about their design (with plenty of photography). Nice video

If I was a coder, I'd hate this space. Big open spaces and flat surfaces, means bright, noisey, echoey, and lacks privacy. Would be really hard to concentrate and get any work done.
@mahdi_eghbali_a6 ай бұрын
I understand your concern but they just did the interior design and they also considered more private places.
