I think they still sound good. They sound better in person. Sure it ain’t 1988 but they sound just fine.

Just saw them at the Greeley Stampede in Greeley Colorado.. WOW. had so much fun. Turned to my cousin and pointed out these guys were rocking out when we were playing with Star Wars action figures in 77..... seen them several times over the years and have to say they still got it going on.

I will admit, I thought Bun E. was the King of the whole wide world for ages & didn't wanna accept anyone new anymore, since the original CT got back together in the late 80s.. but this particular show he fits like one of Buns old gloves. Well done young man!! I would like to believe that Brad was so much a part of the family they couldn't replace him with anyone other than blood.👍

I've always loved this band. It's nice to see them still playing. Just don't compare this to 1970s performances. Don't even look.

Same applies for most things. I’m sure we don’t look (or sound) like we did 20 years ago, much less nearly 50.

Just saw and met and chatted to Jimmy last night in Manchester uk brilliant gig intimate and watched the sound check too. Lovely humble man. We talked about his friends Chris Cornell and jeff buckley. Only 20 people in attendance. He played for 2hours and 15 mins. As near to a spiritual experience. He played the chris cornell someone to die for and bring you home for me and dedicated them both to me. Also during sound check I met the young 26 yr old bassist for Ours. Amazing night and at the end I shook Jimmy's hand :)

I’ve tried hard and I can’t get into Duvall at all.
@RafaelCDet15 күн бұрын
That's because you want him to sound like Layne. Just appreciate him for what he is, a great singer. The real problem is that Jerry doesn't use him enough in the new songs. Clearly Layne is irreplaceable but the reason why people can't get into Duvall is because Jerry doesn't let him shine in the _new_ songs. The songs where William actually sings the lead vocals, like Last of My Kind, are very rare, but he sounds phenomenal when he isn't relegates to Jerry's harmonizer
@misterrain8378 күн бұрын
@@RafaelCDet nah. Honestly I’ve just tried to like Duvall. I can’t get into him. I feel like he’s trying to sound like Layne. That’s more of my issue with him. He’s trying and of course he doesn’t. I like that Jerry and the other guys are continuing on and they really do have the right to. Honestly. I just don’t dig William Duvall’s sound and I’m a fan for a long time. I have been hoping for almost 20 years that my mind would change but it doesn’t seem likely. But hey, to each their own.

I saw them a few days ago in Austin. Outstanding show. You better go see all these old school rockers before they retire or no longer can play. An entire generation of music is leaving us.

Nothing from the self titled album? That one is my favorite and I have seen them over the years . Shows to me are boring . The Kyuss Lives tour many years ago blew QOTSA away and Josh ended up suing the band for doing Kyruss shows without him’ that was a douche move

My first time seeing and hearing them with their new singer (I would only listen if it was Layne). I know, I know…. This man did a good job and I think he is also talented. It’s hard to replicate Man in the Box. Layne had perfect voice for that!! It still broke my heart though to not see Layne out there. 💔
@Darth.ShredderАй бұрын
Their "new" singer has been in the band almost 20 years... you haven't listened to them for 2 decades? I love Layne but he died in 2002 and there's so much more to AIC than "Man in the Box".
@robinsmith4958Ай бұрын
@@Darth.Shredder Yes I know he was replaced many years ago. I just only listened to old AIC. And actually my favorite song by them is Nutshell.
