I’ve never seen this show, but I grew up with boy meets world. And that show went deep with crazy topics. This seems pretty deep for a Disney show. I might have to check it out.

Cory Matthews and Shawn Hunter are more like a father to Maya then her biological father. Even though we all know that Cory is Riley's dad he treats Maya like a daughter. I don't know how any dad or mom could just leave their kids like that that's just disrespectful to the kids including to the parent that they are leaving.

I grew up on the original show. Shawn was my favorite character. Maya was this generation's Shawn. I can honestly say that this young lady lived up to every bit of what this role had to be for this show to work at all. She should really get recognition for the job she had to do at such a young age. Rider Strong had it easier. He defined the role because there wasn't one before him. This girl had to live up to a standard... She surpassed it.

Sabrina is the hands down most amazing actress in the world in my opinion. This show made me fall in love with her and to this day she is my most favorite actress and singer in the world. She deserves the world. I honestly have a wonderful life with tons of opportunities and really such a perfect situation, but emotionally I’m pretty messed up. Depression, anxiety, and attempted suicide. But watching Maya on this show made me feel like I’m not alone. She is my world honestly, and that’s really all I have.

This show brought out my emotion and now that disney has cancelled it, i am just not the same. This show is one that truelly knows how hard growing up can be while allowing people to make connections; an unbreakable link to each and every one of the characters and the perfect match. Disney should be ashamed that they stopped the show and need to understand how badly some of us have been impacted by their actions.

Shaun and maya and the first scene hit hard because it highlights how maya really feels inside she shows confidence but without re assurance feels uncared for. Corey and Shaun’s opinions help support maya and she wants them to feel proud of her. Sabrina carpenter is amazing actress and really brings across the character well
