Thanks Sara for this wonderful explanation about discipline discrimination disability I meant. I'm currently appealing the decision from my employer. They seem to have taken no understanding of reasonable adjustments. Suddenly the Union and with don't seem to have a clue about defending the case. I have already put forward to industrial tribunal if I don't win the appeal.. I've been looking for information for awhile over these last few months and I have learned so much listening to your speech about disability discrimination. So I'm very grateful for your speech today that I came across on KZbin wishing you well thanks again 🙏

Key Points for Job Seekers with Disabilities During the Recruitment Process: Disclosing Your Disability: You have the choice to disclose your disability when applying for jobs. Disclosing during the application process can allow for adjustments to be made during recruitment. Reasonable Adjustments During Recruitment: Employers have a legal duty to provide reasonable adjustments during the recruitment process. These aim to remove barriers you might face due to your disability during application and interview stages. Types of Adjustments in Recruitment: May include alternative application formats, changes to interview arrangements, or allowing extra time for assessments. Examples: providing application forms in large print, ensuring interview locations are accessible, or allowing a support worker to attend. Requesting Adjustments: You can request adjustments at any stage of the recruitment process. There's no formal procedure you must follow - you can simply inform the employer of your needs. Employer's Responsibility: Employers should take your request seriously and discuss possible adjustments with you. They should focus on whether the adjustment is reasonable and helps address your specific needs during recruitment. Application Process: Employers cannot discriminate against you because of your disability. They should assess your application based on your skills and abilities to do the job. Interviews and Assessments: You can request adjustments for interviews or assessment centers. This might include extra time, breaks, or alternative assessment methods. Your Rights: If you believe an employer has failed to make reasonable adjustments during recruitment, you may have grounds for a disability discrimination claim. However, open communication with the employer about your needs is often the best approach. Remember, the goal of reasonable adjustments during recruitment is to ensure you can participate fully in the process and demonstrate your abilities on an equal basis with other candidates. Don't hesitate to discuss your needs with potential employers during the application process.

A major problem lies in the lack of knowledge about Giftedness/Genius, often seen as instances of ASD, ADD, and ADHD. Obviously, the skillset is valuable in employment, but as Dominic Cummings said in his "weirdos and misfits" job offer 2.1.2020, nobody knows anything about it: other features of the posting are blatantly illegal. The definition of disability is also wider than previously.

This lawyer really doesn't like employees. Gee! He sounds as if he's rubbing his hands at the idea of getting the employer off the hook for committing the most unfair dismissal you can think of.

Thank you for sharing this news. In a professional soliictors negligence claim which has caused the claimant to lose in excess of £300K what compensation can a claimant take and what compensation might they receive (claimants own solicitor & defendant 1 solicitor)? From start to finish how long does it take for a Claimant to receive their financial compensation?

I think wherever there is a concession made for whatever reason, there will always be some people that would seek to take advantage. But it does not mean that the concession should not therefor be provided

During explanation of mistake 2, that woman could have had a fluctuating condition. Fluctuating conditions are probably the most disbelieved disabilities. I have a fluctuating condition but due to the impact it has on my life it is a disability. Despite being bed bound much of the time even my family have a hard time accepting my condition because at times, I can do things normally.

Dear Paul, does SOSR dismissal be used when unfairly dismissing without due process a disabled employee for complaining about health and safety concerns?

Thank you for posting this video. I was recently dismissed from my place of work for too many absences. My absences were because of my illness. I let them know about the illness. When they dismissed me they said because I.didnt let them know the illness is regarded as a disability they can't be liable. However they didn't give me any warnings or hold any meetings. They just emailed me whilst I was off sick. They denied me appeal rights, and only after threatening legal action did they offer one. I feel a breach of applied trust and confidence is broke so I dont want to work for them anymore and declined to attend the appeal. Can I still make a claim?

You would have had to claim within 3 months less one day..it appears you were clearly discriminated against as an employer should havr constructive knowledge if not actual knowledge and they should have shown that they made efforts to try and find out whether your illnesses were disabilities under the Equality Act or not and should have offered you reasonable adjustments if you did not ask for any.

They also failed to follow policy. They cannot just email you a dismissal especially whilst you were off sick.

You should write to the employer asking them to make a disclosure under section 30 and if they fail to disclose, then you can apply for a disclosure order from the Tribunal.

Quick legal question I am a law student stuck on a problem question. Farooq acquired a freehold estate and has held for 4 years and has always used a pathway going across Sanam’s land along with his predecessor of the property. Sanam has erected a gate to stop Farooq from going across. My question is can Farooq claim for an easement through doctorine of lost grant? I know Farooq would need to prove 20 years of uninterrupted use of Sanam’s land however with him having 4 years and his predecessor exercising the same right for probably 16 years or more can a claim be made through successive fee simple owners on the same property? Or does it have to only be the number of years Farooq has used the property meaning the previous owner’s use does not count? Any help would be appreciated.
