Oat meal should be more geained and put with boiled water. Its seams to dry as well. Could add suggar or banana to boost up yeast growth

Yes i feed blackworms for many years now to my discus which i breed. This is my discus main diet so i buy 1lb of blackworms per week. My discus get between 7-8 inches on live blackworms, when the discus eggs hatch they eat off the parents for about a week, then i feed live baby brine shrimp, then after 2 months they go on live blackworms, they grow super fast on them, this is the best food on the planet for in my opinion. great video but I think corn meal did good ..I do have one question have you ever thought of trying complete gecko diet just to see how well it works ?? I don't know it it will work I always used brine shrimp or we have a pet store that sells live micro worms so I would go get them from there ...
@supremeaquaria-wallykern90662 жыл бұрын
And again, not scientific at all. Just for fun. I think you are right. No, there were dozens of food types I thought about trying but I knew I had just so much time. Might try in the future. Yes, love brine shrimp but micros are a tiny bit smaller for some fish.

Very cool fish. Even though I've been keeping fish for years now, I only recently became aware how many more livebearers there are, beyond guppies, mollies and platies. I got myself some black bellied limia from an LFS in Toronto, and they started making me babies pretty much right away! The colours are a bit more subtle but really gorgeous once they're fully settled in, and I'm happy to have them.
@supremeaquaria-wallykern90662 жыл бұрын
I LOVE the 'wild'er livebearers. Did you get Limia melanogaster? Very cool, and great that you are already getting babies! Wish we were closer. I would trade for some Lima perugiae.
@pjp93832 жыл бұрын
@@supremeaquaria-wallykern9066 Yup, that's the one! 4 females and 2 males, and am not sure how many fry are in the tank. At least 7-8, could be closer to 15. I don't think it's more than that, as I spend a lot of time peering in and counting how many I can see at any given moment. This tank is currently one that was allowed to overgrow when I was getting ready to move, has had some plants pulled out to use as I re-set other tanks, and other plants thrown in to float until needed. In other words, it's a total mess! Seemed a good one to use for temporary quarantine, and has worked out great to guve the fry a place to hide. But now I don't want to muck around too much chasing fish with a net, for the sake of the fry. Interesting you mention the perugiae - I can get my hands on some of those too, through special order at the same LFS from a breeder in the area (it's called Shrimp Fever). I've confirmed that they're from Greg Sage's line. Problem is that the Melanogaster are decent sized, are going to be prolific breeders, and are very aggressive mating and eating. They killed my most food assertive Amano shrimp within a couple of weeks of being in the tank, so I don't want to put any of my other fish (corys etc) with them - they'd starve to death! So I don't think I have another tank for the other limia type right now. But maybe in the future, now that I know someone else had them nearby. Or if I find another piece of furniture that could hold another tank...
