Never thought this video would bring so many questions. 1. Fashion Design is great, NIFT & Pearl are great colleges for the same. My advice: also keep learning trending softwares or the ones that are in demand so you are always up to date. 2. Jobs are very limited in this field. So be ready to fight. 3. Design demands a lot of practical knowledge, be it pattern cutting, finishings, knowledge of fabrics, illustrations, on feet decision making especially if something goes wrong. 4. Always keep up with fashion news through business of fashion, vogue, WGSN. 5. Always research about how to better yourself at a skill you’re good at! Ex: you like photoshop, go to youtube and learn what all you can experiment in photoshop (trust me you’ll learn a lot) 6. Of course you need a good handy laptop to download and keep all your work safe! 7. Lastly if you want to secure a good placement, work on your portfolio since day one! Keep your fav projects in start so it helps you in getting good internship opportunities! ( I interned with Arvind Limited, House of Masaba, House of Priti Sahni, Angrakhaa) Hope this helps everyone! I graduated this year with a good placement that I got through my internship. Also I’m not here to demotivate anyone but just telling my POV! Take it or leave it, your choice. If you want better clarity connect to people on LinkedIn working in same field you are interested in or college seniors of your preferred college, will GIVE YOU A LOT OF CLARITY 🤝🏻
