I genuinely thought this was a weird rendition of "fly" for the first 30 seconds or so

what does it says seems like cyrillic from the first line
@Hrugnir3 жыл бұрын
The picture is from a Cyrillic manuscript of the Bible, so its connection to the song is only by association to the lyrics "Enjoy the heat of your whore Babylon". Blind Guardian did not choose this image.
@jordantasevski29933 жыл бұрын
@@Hrugnir okay but what "BG did not choose this image." i mean i already knew this is just some random image that may relate to the lyrics by the uploader

The most impressive thing is that these lyrics were completely freestyle, as Hansi himself said in this Q&A on reddit www.reddit.com/r/Music/comments/2uvpxn/comment/coc7u2e

I have the original cd version of this witch band had some of left since the original printing. Its really a beutiful album, progressive, melo-death and even some death/doom/gothic metal in the mix.

Absolutely love that song! The thing is I'm not that into metal and I would actually love to hear the song without the vocals. I know it's not right for the band, but is there any chance I can find that song in an instrumental version?

By far their best album. I love the "folky" violins on this album. When it comes to vocals I have no favorite. Both Thomas and Jens could do the vocals on this album. Thomas had the grunts and power and Jens has the emotion and screams. Again, very good album and SO different from the other albums. Up to this album it was very keyboard dominant but after this album they went more for the guitars. With De Ödeslösa as their turning point, bringing the keyboards back where they should be.... Still miss the epic atmosphere from this album though.... Ah well. Still my favorite viking metal band, together with Falkenbach.

They are very cool indeed. But they're not really style-changing, are they? They stick to the same stile all the time, which makes all their songs sound the same.

Yeah but no one can deny that Finntroll always has very nice keyboard riffs and medleys. Plus Finntroll's vocals are more professional. But I admit, Thyrfing is a good band, but I kinda miss the "high quality" of their songs. (btw it's "populAR", not "populAIR") :)

Sorry, but the music theory snob is coming out of me. Both songs are primarily in minor keys, but the key was just changed in Dead Sound of Misery. The tonic of Fly is Eb for most of the song, while the tonic for Dead Sound Of Misery is Ab. Also, some of the melodies were changed in Dead Sound Of Misery.

Since "she" is my sister, she corrected me: First part: "I slept, yet my heart was awake, in my dreams I search for thee, in thine arms I yearn to be." Second part: "I have gone to bed, will I rise again, I have washed my feet shall I defile them, I see his hand, he is reaching out to me, and I know with him I have to be" Then in the end it is simply: "Ahh-haaa-ah-ah-ah...."
@sixtysixstyx12 жыл бұрын
@Peter Berntsson I'm sure that at some parts it's simply pure vocalization, however at certain points it does sound like they are saying something...
