Not just looking at the slickness of Cotter but his grit and getting in on the play is what the Devils needed. I was happy to see him come here, he's a great depth guy that will put some numbers up and dog it out when needed. He's a guy that you need to win.

That hit by Miller really should have been a 2 minute boarding call. 5' from the boards is the most dangerous place on the ice to throw a hit. I don't think he meant to hurt Rooney, but he should know better than to throw that hit. Also knock that nonsense about the Flames being the worst team in the league. The season has just started nobody is the worst team in the league just yet. Also the Flames weren't even close to being the worst team in the league last year.

I don't like the trade at all! Lek is a replacement for Brock next year! Kuds is going to be a replacement for Myers! Not selling the future for an overpriced Dman on the wrong side of 30! I would rather see them get Will Borgen from Seattle who played great with Soucy! Myers could move to 3rd pairing with Vinny!
