Love your name “pro poultry wrestler’. 😆 Are gypsy Seramas the ones with dark face and eyes? I have one just like her. She’s quite startling to look at. The eyes look so big and black and unusual. I was thinking perhaps something was wrong with her eyes. I really love seeing the results of your breeding programs. I have bred mine, but not with any genetics in mind. I can’t seem to find a single book on serama breeding (in English). I need to know more about it. Wouldn’t it be awesome to have multi-colored egg laying seramas! Dark chocolate brown, blue, green, pink, terracotta, etc.?

Thanks. It's pretty accurate with the turkeys and geese these days. 😁Yes! The Gypsy Faces have dark faces, eyes, legs. I find them beautiful as well. Multicolor eggs would be adorable. I've been working on a hardy bantam desert breed of chicken, and am at the junction of incorporation a micro sized bantam Americana into that flock in hopes of getting pretty colored eggs. I'll have to post a video on them soon. With my knowledge on Serama, I started with following all the top breeders on facebook, following Serama clubs, breeders, all the Serama Associations I could find, from around the world then read, read, read everything posted/commented on. My first Serama flock was mostly a cull flock off of craigslist. 😂 Once I had them, I understood why people will spend a couple hundred on great bloodlines and invested in the SG, CP, TB and RA lines from great breeders. Then, at a Serama show, I was given my first GFs. They would have been show quality except for the fact that both chicks were missing a wing each. Mean mama got them. They couldn't be shown so the owner didn't want to keep them and gave them to me. That was my first flock. A few made it to my new home/flock, then I invested more into new birds from some more champion breeders. This fall I plan to invest in an Extreme cockerel with a big chest. It's what I need to get my birds to the next level faster, I feel.
