Brother, thanks for your comment. Let me tell you that for general gear design calculations addendum is taken as equal to module (rarely as some fraction of module i.e. 0.8*module) and dedendum is taken as equal to 1.25*module (rarely some other fraction) . Correct me if I am wrong. And if you have some different or special requirements change the values accordingly. Support us by SUBSCRIBING THE CHANNEL and by sharing our videos.

How to change the root diameter?
@MuhammadAhmad-vc6xd6 жыл бұрын
these are thos fuckin notes......so u dont have to sign up for this shit relations for spur gear: circular_pitch = pi*module /*circular pitch addendum = module /*addendum dedendum = 1.25*module /*dedendum refrence_dia = module*no_of_teeth /*refrence dimeter tip_dia = refrence_dia+2*addendum /*tip diameter root_dia = refrence_dia-2*dedendum /*root_diameter base_dia = refrence_dia*cos(press_angle) /*base_diameter root_fillet = 0.38*module /*root fillet radius semitopping = 0.1*module tooth_thick = circular_pitch/2 /*tooth thickness Involute equation: theta = 90*t angle_ratio = theta/360 S = angle_ratio*pi*base_dia base_radius = base_dia/2 Xc = base_radius*cos(theta) Yc = base_radius*sin(theta) X = Xc+(S*sin(theta)) Y = Yc-(S*cos(theta)) Z = 0

this fucking video it could have been made in 3 mins without those fuckin parameters.........he just wanted to make this fucking video long and complex
Please note the following correction: tooth_thick_mm = circular_pitch/2 /* in mm tooth_thick = 360/no_of_teeth/2 /* in degrees... Creo dimensions in degrees in the sketch
Thank you very for such a fine tutorial. I would like to extend the answer of Jan, the easiest way to correct the error in the tooth_thick parameter is to define correctly the arc length. In the video it is created picking one end of the arc, the centre of the cfr and finally the second end of the arc but this creates an angular dimension, not the arc one. To create correctly this, it is necessary to pick in order: first point of the arc, second point of the arc, the arc itself (and finally pick the central button to create the dimension)

how you gave the offset to datum point of 0.5? what are its calculations?
@TananBaboo6 жыл бұрын
AUKSHWANT RAHATE it’s a ratio meaning 50%.... it puts a point right in the middle of the curve.
There is mistake in equation. "tooth_thick" is counted from "circular pitch" assuming using lenght of arc where it switches to angular dimension in degrees. So changing parameters of gear wont work. In metric system template (°degree) change first line in relations of gear: circular_pitch = 360/no_of_teeth

Hi jan, can I ask why drawing it for the first time with circular_pitch = module*pi works. But when changing parameters, it does not work anymore? I understand that the arc he draw in the video is angular dimension instead of length of arc. However I do not understand why it works the first time. Thanks!

what is "t" in involute equation
@rajanpatel16707 жыл бұрын
great tutorial. But sir, i try it for different module & no_of_teeth , there is problem in involute shape. i model for following data:- 1) Module:- 3 & no_of_teeth:- 80 2) Module:- 10 & no_of_teeth:- 45 Please suggest the right way to model spur gear with above parameters.

I have an problem in making curve by equation. the equation your writing for involute spur gear is invalid in my creo 3.0 .why?? I doesn't know the reason. I tried a lot but didn't correct it... I made correction but not a generating perfect curve.. what can I do ?? please reply. ass soon as possible .. otherwise give your mail id ..I will mail my SS to you ..let's fix it yrr
Fantastic tutorial, thank you. I run into problems when the reference diameter reduces below 72mm though, any idea on how to get around this? I need to design a few fairly small gears
