No, they are an invasive species here & have driven out our native red squirrels. I don't think we have many reds left in England & Wales at all.

@@MikeFairman Oh I'm sorry to hear that. Interestingly enough our tiny red squirrels here bully the gray squirrels. They're quite feisty, and likely to get into your attic, whereas gray squirrels stay away. We've also seen some crossbreeds here. Up in Canada there is also a black version of the gray squirrel which is stunning to see. My best advice is to use a " have a heart" trap to trap them, and turn them over to your local animal control officer. Here in America we have a lot of problems with invasive species as well. I'm afraid removing them from the environment is the only way to solve the problem. Some of them are so numerous and invasive, there is nothing to be done. Good luck to you! If nothing else, gray squirrels are quite friendly and make good pets. So that's something. It's not like it's an alligator sitting outside your door, ready to rip your face off, or a cane toad, Or worse. 😮

They are very friendly & cute but sadly they are not native here in England. They carry a disease that they are immune to but sadly it has wiped out most of our red squirrels. There have been several attempts to reintroduced the reds but progress is very slow.

@MikeFairman Hello Mike. Always good to watch your videos. Always watched them whilst in Worcester but now they have an even greater meaning for me.Here in Moscow it has been attempting to snow temperatures here are at +4 whilst in Worcester l noticed it was +7. When the snow arrives here the snow plows come out in force . There may be 3 or 4 working together. Snow is uplifted from the roads here in the same way the roads are resurfaced in England, in other words they use a planning machine and the snow is fired into the back of a 6 wheeler truck and taken outside the city. There may be 10 trucks in line at any one time. Roads do not come to a grinding halt and all cars have winter tyres. Once again Mike thank you for the videos they are important to me.

I love those tubes. My favorite is the RCA 829B. They’re very flexible and forgiving. Last weekend I was doing an amplifier build of a SE stereo amp. During low voltage testing 65v B+ I was floored by the sound quality, and that we were getting about a 1/2w audio out from them. I never had the chance to ‘unbox’ them as they were bought loose years ago. Thanks for the video!

I must admit I haven't had chance to test this yet. I'm hoping to set up a small radio workshop in the next year or two. I have most of the test equipment just need to make some space in my house to set it all up. I did make a start in my shed but later decided that it would be far too cold & damp in the winter 😊

Now they're slated to present a Metal Christmas compilation at my place of work. And, I"m up to 3 watts RMS now. Still waiting on some higher wattage resistors so I can move from 150v to 350v. Then the project will be complete.

Back in the 1980s I used to spend a lot of time in the Live & Let Live at Fernhill Heath watching the duos & bands play. They had live music about 3 to 4 times a week. A great pub & music venue, so sad the it was demolished to make way for housing. The Copcut Elm was another venue I used to go to on a Thursday night especially Ernie & The Grimshaws were playing or The Mighty House Rockers. I saw Grim Reaper there a few times too just before they went to America & made it big 😊

Where are the red squirrels????
@MikeFairman
@MikeFairman Ай бұрын
I don't think I have seen a red squirrel around this area since the 1960s. The red squirrel numbers have been in decline since the introduction of the grey in the 19th century. Grey squirrels carry a disease which does not seem to affect their health but often kills the reds. Also the loss of woodland & countryside hasn't helped them either. There are hardly any reds left in England, just a few pockets where there are no greys.

I remember when the M5 at Worcester was a dual two-lane motorway, what a nightmare that was. I was glad to see that widened in the 1990s 😊 The only problem I have with the motorways has always been bad drivers & middle lane hoggers. Making parts of the motorway 4 lanes has just made matters worse with drivers sat in lanes 3 & 4 while lanes 1 & 2 are virtually empty. The money should be spent on more Policing.

@@MikeFairman, and what a waste of money to replace the streetlights from the top of Worcester (N)/Evesham junction towards Quinton Interchange passing Lydiate Ash Interchange and Frankley Services from early 2010s onwards. What was the absolute matter with the streetlights that used to be there?

Perhaps they have stopped making the A3 or it has a different brand name in your part of the world. I did read somewhere that it is the same as a Agitato A323 but don't quote me on that 😊 The trouble is you can't trust a brand anymore because they make one good camera the rest of the model range might be a load of junk. The four Apeman H45 cameras I used lasted a few years (although the picture quality was poor by today's standards) but the H55 cameras I bought after were complete rubbish. I'd end up with 100s of dead batteries & no videos to show for it. I won't be buying anymore of their stuff again.

Sadly you would need to get hold of the original video before it was sped up, that is if it still exists.
