School science technician here - Griffin was Griffin and George, a UK company with a head office in Alperton, Wembley, manufacturing science lab equipment. I think the last physical catalogue of theirs we had was from 2008. They were absorbed (I believe) by Fisher scientific a dozen or so years back. We've just found the exact same tube (stock code and all) along with a few others at the back of a cupboard and were looking to see what it was for!

Thank you for letting me know, I would never have found out who Griffin and George were by myself. It looks like they were taken over by A. Gallenkamp and Co in 1972 & then acquired by Fisons in 1977. www.gracesguide.co.uk/Griffin_and_George I think Edicron are still in business but I'm not sure about Fisons.

For some strange reason that is the way the sat nav took us. Not sure why as there didn't seem to be any problems with traffic etc.

Yes, 2017 we were going to a wedding & sadly this time a funeral. I lived in Buckinghamshire & then Cambridgeshire for a few years back in the early 1990s & used to visit Norfolk often.

Hi Andy, they have all been serviced & MOTed in the last 3 months or so. All good apart from the Laguna which needed a new engine sump as it had started to rust out & leak oil. It's the first time i have ever had that happen to a car before. They obviously don't make sumps like they used to. Hope all is well with you 😊

Nice videos Mike. Right at the start after you turn left on the right hand side was my Grandads property. Grandad, Samuel Gregg, was the village Carpenter and Blacksmith. I had many happy holidays there when I was a kid. I’m now 76! The property was called Orchard Cottage. There is now a new property and one house is called Greggs Cottage. One day Grandad was on his way to market and a dog ran in front of the horse and cart. The cart turned over and my Grandmother to be died of her injuries. My mother was a babe in arms and survived. She was sent to be brought up by my Great Aunt in Bowdon Cheshire. Her older sister stayed to help Grandad. My sister and I eventually inherited the property. Thanks Mike.
