Fun as always. Garry Brown used to be Springfield's Red Sox reporter. Sean reminds me of him. I'm sure to share this with my son. As soon as I can figure out how to do it! Heh, heh. Good stuff.

Great show until that WMass wise crack. If we ever secede, we're taking the Quabbin with us! Heh, heh. Nice stuff as always. Wish you'd have asked him if he would have made the Nomar trade, though.

I made a comment about the lack of coverage on Belicek's record without Brady. Being new to this channel I'm not watching in order. Thank you Mr. Borges for making my point. Please forgive me for looking stupid.

I really enjoyed this one fellas. Not being in Boston I was very much unfamiliar with Mr. Pagliuca and how accommodating he is with his answers. I'm not a big NBA fan, (gimme a Division 3 high school rivalry game over it) as Bob said, there is no traveling in the NB, but they know what the fans want to see. As a AAU ref once pointed out to me, a dunk is offensive goaltending. I'm old and Id love to see that done away with. Gimme a skyhook any day. Tx guys. Good stuff.

Next to Orsillo, Sean was the best color man the Sox have ever had. I was heartbroken when he left. Nice show boys.

You gentlemen are a fun watch. Being ain WMass for my life, I never got to see you, or your guests without adding to my already heavy cable bill. Can someone answer, or rather, address the fact that Belicek, a defensive genius, has a horrible head coaching record without Brady. No one ever mentions it. Anyway. I enjoy your channel very much.

This was (honestly) painful for me to watch. I love this show, and I have always admired Volk, but he is clearly experiencing some of the same things as Biden is. I think this particular episode should actually be taken down.

To me, it seems he just isn't as interested in the Celtics as he once was, and he needs to exercise memory recall to talk about some things he probably hasn't thought about in years.

@@livelifestream I thought he is clearly exhibiting cognitive decline. Not being able to complete sentences, searching for words, even his eyes reminded me of Biden. I feel Volk's children shouldnt be allowing him to do interviews anymore.

I have lived, worked, and been a sports fan in Tennessee, Kentucky, Florida, and Texas before arriving in Massachusetts for the last decade. I can say with all my heart that Boston fans are the best fans I have known. They legitimately know the games/teams, deeply care about the history, and are as die-hard as they come. I feel it every time I am talking to a stranger about the team. It’s all real talk and despite my southern accent, I always walk away feeling accepted like a Boston-born New Englander.

I am hoping that Steve takes the helm. If the new majority owner cares about the team and the city, we’re in good hands. If money is the only motivation, then we’re in trouble.

I’m with Milbury. I don’t want replay in any sport. I know the networks are probably in favor of more air time but I think the trade off of killing the game’s momentum coupled with the interpretation of the event sometimes being inexplicable makes replay not worth it. Pay your officials to work year round.

Lobel and Shaughnessy are all over my UMass years. Lynch had just taken over for Don Gillis when I moved to California but I saw enough of him to absorb his style. Being retired myself it's nice to see this sort of conversation between three legends of Boston media. I was alive for all Celtic titles except the first in '57. Watched all titles from 1974 and following (including staying up until 1:30 AM to watch the 1981 clinch game on tape delay).

Well now I like Joe even more. There may be a correlation between having a coach that many don’t try to understand I.e. Phil Jackson and being able to resonate with the players.

I remember when Bob Ryan was reporting for Channel 5 on the end of an NFL strike. He said, "It was the longest work stoppage in professional sports history, except for the two years that Sidney Wicks and Curtis Rowe played for the Celtics." When he threw it back to the studio, Don Gillis had a broad grin.
