I saw Uprooted on your tbr and would recommend it! I read it last year and just finished another book by Naomi Novik as my first book of 2025 but preferred Uprooted. interested to know what you think.

What was the other one you read? I read Spinning Silver (is that the title?) a few years back and really enjoyed it until the conclusion. Now I'm a bit cautious about Uprooted.

@ yes I read Spinning Silver, I liked it in the beginning but the ending was a bit lacklustre. I liked the character of Wanda tho and her brothers. Uprooted is definitely better in my opinion.

I'm wondering what kind of journal you plan to use in 2025? I have always used a classic bullet journal with thick pages but I have found that I've grown quite tired of them after using them for so many year. I'm considering using a hobonichi notebook instead but can't make up my mind!

I've chosen a journal by the brand Hemlock and Oak, it's a cloth bound hardcover with 160 GSM paper if I'm not mistaken. I've never used Hobonichi before, but I'm very curious about their paper.

Ah, moi aussi j'voulais utiliser des gommettes pour certaines choses, mais ej trouvais pas les couleurs que je voulais et juste ces couleurs là. Finalement j'utilise des feutres et je "sous"ligne mes titres ed pages (je passe un coup de feutre/pinceau et j'écris par dessus pour éviter que ça bave

Yes it's a Muji gel pen as well. I order mine online from their website when I'm in France and I think some online stores also carry Muji things sometimes. I think Amazon has some of them and the Kawaii pen shop.

As you enjoy the more uplifting and episodic type of graphic novel, consider giving Fangs by Sarah Andersen a try. It's about a vampire and a werewolf so it is quite fitting for spooky season. 🦇 I am reading Nimona next. Excited to see how much it differs from the movie. I really liked that one. Beautiful spreads as always. ✨

Quand j’ai du mal avec la calligraphie, j’essaie de faire en sorte que les lettres soient toutes de la même taille ( les lettres courtes aeourc… que les tdfh montent à la même hauteur et pareille pour les descendantes jgq, ect…) Pinterest a de bons exemples de polices et c’est plus simple de voir les différentes échelles. J’aime bien tes collages ❤
