I talked to John after a concert in Bristol (UK) a few years back, mentioning this was my favourite song of his. "Oh," he replied. "If I'd know I would have played it for you." And then he wrote down the guitar tuning for me on my programme. He is, quite simply, the best guitar player I've seen, and a lovely feller too! Cheers John!

Laura played this for the campers at Mark O’Connor Fiddle Camp in Franklin, TN many, many years ago when I was a teenager, and it still pops into my head weekly at 32 years old. Beautiful.

Makes sense Joe Newberry and Bruce Molsky play music together. They're both fantastic musicians and I discovered them independently for different reasons, hearing various tunes played by Bruce's fiddle and Joe's banjo. Gonna have to check out the Jumpsteady Boys.

I would've enjoyed this as an instrumental. I'm kind of used to this song being played a bit faster.
