Anybody know how wide the entrance way/door is on a scamp I cannot find it on the Internet.

What is the GVWR for each bed set up. Love the new white interior option. Is there an option for dometic 2 burner recessed cook top? The raised one kinda wastes precious counter space.

That's an ok trailer! I'm from the UK & that would sell well,it's minimum of what you need, a good thing to sleep 2 easy for a week away for a low cost.

I’m curious if you guys have tried bedliner on the interior, seems like it would provide some insulation, but also substantially more strength.

BACK UP CAMERAS 🎥 Let's be real, we all are not always the best as backing in trailers, its okay-we don't make fun of that over here! We actually teach trailer driving lessons should you be in need of learning a new skill. ;) A back-up camera is an easy upgrade that brings your value up if you have an older trailer that did not come with one as a standard option.

NEW AXLE 🛞 This is also a frequent update that comes through our shop and a very important one! The fiberglass shell itself lasts for a lifetime, the axle however does not. If you have an older trailer and see the shell start to show signs of sagging over the tires, it might be time for an update. A new axle will make your camper stand tall and add another 10-15 years depending on frequency of use.

FLOORING 🪵 This is probably our most popular update, not only is it cost effective given the small amount of flooring that we are swapping out, it truly elevates the space! We always recommend LVP flooring so it lasts many years and trips and for how lightweight of a material it is. This service also allows us the opportunity to check out your subfloor and make sure there are no hidden moisture intrusion spots and if there are, we are already in there to replace that as well!

CUSTOM PAINT (INSIDE & OUT) 🎨 This upgrade is where we really see your personality shine! We have done some really fun color combinations both inside and out on many different types of travel trailers. We have had clients match their exterior camper color to the exact color of their towing vehicle which makes it an even cooler asset as now you have a matching set should you one day want to sell both as a package! We are a big fan of the two tone paint jobs and seeing darker, more unique colors on the interior fiberglass components like the kitchen and bunk sections. Our favorite that we have seen (and done) so far is a deep forest green!

CREATE MORE COUNTER SPACE This is a fun one! As camping peeps ourselves, we don't actually often use the stovetop inside of the trailer- we prefer to utilize a Coleman, Blackstone or humble crockpot outside! Less mess and no over-powering aromas inside your sleeping-space. We do however love maximizing the storage spaces inside as best as we can so we often like to delete the stove top and replace with a smooth countertop material, one of our favorites being a beautifully stained butcher block. This allows more room and open space for dishes, snacks or decor!

BLUETOOTH SPEAKERS 🔊 You can't go camping without tunes! A lot of newer travel trailers come with amazing speaker systems (like our brand new Escape Trailers!) so this is not a needed update if you are an owner of a newer model camper. If you have a vintage camper, and yes-even the 90s versions are starting to be considered, "vintage", this could be an update for you. We use a system that allows for your phone to hook up to it via bluetooth and the output speaker is on the exterior, letting you be the DJ for your campsite.

Good job brother. Just an FYI - I'd lean more towards replacing that floor with corrugated aluminum floor panels.

Fridge and kitchen inside the cabin is bad for bear country. Cooking inside a very small camper means grease everywhere, quickly. Bathroom inside a small camper means you will smell shit and extra maintenance. And all of this takes valuable space for the most valuable item in the camper. The sleeping cabin. Luckily the bathroom is optional. People see this and they're like oh wow looks amazing!. But MOST people who have been camping for years prefer to cook outside. Indoor bathroom is a 50/50 thing. 100% of people want to sleep warm and cozy though.

I have a Scamp and will be adding the same fan. I don't have carpet/insulation on the walls and ceiling, just painted fiberglass shell. So do i do it the same way but use rivets since i don't have the wooden frame? The inside trim ring would be cut down just like yours as well?
@retrorenos7 ай бұрын
I would build a 1in frame around it if I was you for that. So the trim lays flat
@lyubli717 ай бұрын
@@retrorenos Frame on the inside? Would you glue it to the ceiling or something? Thanks!
@retrorenos6 ай бұрын
@@lyubli71 I would hold it up and have someone on the outside where the fan has hose for rivets or screws and put some log enough screws through to catch the trim probably only 4 long screws

Super clean installation. I saw you used a paintbrush for the lap sealant, did you use a solvent thinner? Thanks

This product I used is kind of like a flex seal product but of the mohawk and unevenness of the egg that lays a bit better for sealing in this application.

If I went through all the trouble of taking out the floor on a Scamp, I would have replaced it with composite panels, or at least marine-grade plywood.
