Your language is exactly the same as the Maragoli sub-tribe of the Luhya people of Western Kenya. I thought you were Maragolians there for a while till I realized you are Bunyoros of Uganda.
I belong to the Munyoro tribe, but my family's history took a turn when my grandfather, Swalik Madaali, migrated from Bunyoro to Busoga. Specifically, they settled in a place called Bunya (Bugade). In Bunya, my grandfather and grandmother, Baluka Zainab, had eight children named Wuni, Zubeda, Kayilu, Mukama, Wasiba, and Kaduba. Unfortunately, both of my grandparents have passed away, and as a result, my connection to my clan and our origins became lost. My father and his siblings were never able to visit Bunyoro, leaving us bereft of any knowledge about our clan. Furthermore, the original name of my paternal grandfather, before his conversion to Islam, remains a mystery to us. However, I carry a deep sense of connection and belonging to Bunyoro within me. Despite the challenges, I am determined to restore our family's connection with our clan. One day, I hope to embark on a journey to Bunyoro to uncover our ancestral roots and learn about our origin. It is my heartfelt desire to fill this void in our family history. If anyone reading this is familiar with the names mentioned above or has any information that could help me in my search, I kindly request you to reach out to me. Your assistance would mean the world to me. Thank you for taking the time to read this personal and emotional story, as it holds a great deal of truth and significance to me..
