Why I returned the CeramicSpeed OSPW X for SRAM Eagle transmission: SRAM Eagle Transmission AXS is very sophisticated, and the CeramicSpeed OSPW X definitely degraded my shifting quality and likely harms the durability of the expensive SRAM transmission. This is very likely because the SRAM cage is what SRAM calls an “inline cage,” which means it is angled by design. The CeramicSpeed is flush straight; maybe it is too complex for them to calculate the right angle with the bigger pulley, but whatever the reason, it is definitely not inline with the SRAM design.

I have been using the previous products for a few year with great results, and just picked up this new wax and their chain clean products. ---> It would be appreciated if the manufacturer answered the questions from this video that have been asked. It would help to further everyone's understanding. ---> This wax and their chain cleaner are not an inexpensive, actually way more than twice as much as using Bike Clean and T9.

Does this cage allow to cross-chain? Use the gears like 52/34 or 52/30?
@CeramicSpeed2 ай бұрын
With the correctly sized chain you will be able to use all normally accessible gears. Cross chaining in the 'big-big' combinations will always result in more drivetrain friction, but it is possible to use those gears without issue.

Hello: can I used in my mtb bike? how it behaves with dust and mud?
@CeramicSpeed2 ай бұрын
Yes, using UFO Drip Wet Conditions off-road and with MTB's is great, especially for wet and mixed terrain. When the trail is more dry and dusty, UFO Wet Conditions will not remain completely clean due to the sticker surface as compared to UFO Drip All Conditions.

as the teeth is made of composite, is it easier to wear out than the usual aluminum?
@CeramicSpeed3 ай бұрын
Hi there, While aluminum has many great properties and a long lifespan, the unique molded composite material used for our ALPHA disc pulley tooth profiles has been tested to show up to 5 times the longevity of aluminum due to its hard and smooth surface finish and ability to resist abrasion and wear.

Do I need a longer chain when switching from a 10/26 to a 10/33 cassette on my 1x drivetrain TT bike or will the chain work for both cassette’s and just adjust the B-limit screw accordingly??
@CeramicSpeed3 ай бұрын
Hi. If the chain was measured correctly for an OSPW in the 10t cog initially, then the change of cassette size is no problem. Many TT 1X drivetrain arrangements will utilize a full length chain for the optimal chain tension and setup.

But at the 8150 and 9250 big chainring and smalest cog is possible to shift. So why should i mesure the chain at the second smalest cog. This Video is specific for 8150 and 9250, isn‘t it? I just installed mine an I am a Bit confused. Especially because the chain rubs when I'm on the largest chainring and the largest cog. I know cross-chaining isn't ideal, but shouldn't the chain run freely? The chain rubs on the outside of the OSPW cage. Or is that normal because cross-chaining is not recomanded?
@CeramicSpeed4 ай бұрын
Thank you for your message. While Gear Postion Control is no longer included on the Ultegra level, it is still part of Dura Ace 9250. Measuring the chain in the 11-tooth or 12-tooth cog will not change the length of the chain as the difference is very minor. With all things setup properly the chain should not rub on the derailleur cage. Please contact our support team if you need further assistance to remedy this at [email protected]

How does a shift change the narrow wide sync on a pulley? The chain doesn't leave the pulley.
@CeramicSpeed4 ай бұрын
Hi. This happens in a similar way that the chain becomes out of sync with the narrow wide profile on the pulley as a result of excessive turbulence during riding. The chain does not want to sit in this position on top of the teeth, and the lateral pressure and change in height shifting up or down is enough to help realign the chain and teeth in the correct narrow wide sync

Original, complex, expensive and ineffective. With a large torque, the gears will not withstand the transverse force, which will be realized due to the shape and small number of clutch elements. This is possible even with a larger and longitudinal clutch of a conventional chain. This mechanism has no future. There is no point in reinventing the wheel.

Hi, so when installing the chain, it does not matter the size of the cassette, right?
@CeramicSpeed7 ай бұрын
Hi, Correct, as the chain is measured for the longest length possible while maintaining the minimum required chain tension, this will accommodate all approved cassette options for a given group set. The length of the OSPW cage makes this possible.

If the bearing knocks under load, is it broken or does cleaning and regreasing it work?
@CeramicSpeed7 ай бұрын
Hi, It is unlikely that it would be broke. A knocking sound is most often related to lateral movement, either from preload spacing, cup in frame, or bearing in cup fitment. Checking and adjusting each of those as necessary would be the correct path.
