Thank you for watching my video and for your message. I agree with you. I have known the Maldives for 28 years and I see that the Maldives have lost their charm, they are denatured, they have become an amusement park and the government is not keeping its promises from 30 years ago to preserve this magnificent place.

Hello, thank you for watching my video and for your nice comment. You know, in the Maldives encounters with sharks are very frequent. We can also observe baby sharks very close to the beach, they grow in the lagoon, far from predators, they learn to hunt. Reef sharks are harmless. I advise you to go to the Maldives once. Greetings

You have been so lucky! We have been in november 2024 on Ellaidhoo and sadly nearly all table corals have been dead! There was a massive coral bleaching for three weks in june. Other corals did survive.
@joannabanaszek9790Ай бұрын
Hello, thank you for watching my video. This is bad news, that the corals are already starting to bleach. Since 2016 after a massive bleaching the reefs in the Maldives they took a long time to finally start rebuilding and this bad phenomenon is already there to destroy this reef again. With climate change it seems to me that we will see more beautiful corals during snorkeling, only during diving from 15 meters and more. Too bad!!!!!

Great video! Out of all the resorts in the Maldives you have been, which is your favorite snorkeling place?
@joannabanaszek97902 ай бұрын
Hello and thank you for watching my video and for your nice comment. After our long experience in the Maldives and on several Atolls I find that snorkeling on Atoll Ari is the most interesting. Before 2016 all the reefs like Safari Island, Angaga, Athuruga or Vakarufalhi and Velidhu (currently closed) were very beautiful and interesting, but currently the reefs on these islands are not recovering with the same rhythm so the atmosphere is not the same as before. The reef on Ellaidhoo is fantastic well preserved and full of nice encounters but for us this reef is not ideal since too many courses and too deep, you need good conditions to enjoy this reef and we like to swim, observe and film 3 hours in the morning and 3 hours in the afternoon and be closer to the fish and in addition with the easy access to the reef so Athuruga and Angaga suits us very well, Thudufushi is very interesting, Vilamendhoo and I would like to see Ihuru again with a possibility to explore the reef on Vabbinfaru but the prices are too expensive. Currently Safari Island is less interesting compared to other years and this is my personal opinion. Greetings.
@yanexcjc2 ай бұрын
@joannabanaszek9790 Thank you for such a detailed reply! We are eyeing on Ellaidhoo because of the big grey sharks experience. When it comes to your best shark encounters, do you think Ellaidhoo is the best?(ignoring bad conditions).
@joannabanaszek97902 ай бұрын
@@yanexcjc Hello, to see a lot of sharks you actually have to go to Ellaidhoo. Normally during the day the sharks only pass by individually. But from 4pm in the afternoon they all come and they turn in this reef since at 5-5.30pm the staff starts throwing the food (in my opinion very bad practice) and during this show the staff asks to get out of the water. So it is better to be in the water before for example since 4pm next to the bungalows upstairs. The question: is this show on Ellaidhoo still current?
@yanexcjc2 ай бұрын
@joannabanaszek9790 Oh wow, great! Ellaidhoo will be our next destination because we really want to swim with those big grey sharks. Thank you so much, and I am looking forward to your next videos!
@joannabanaszek97902 ай бұрын
@@yanexcjc Hello, a clarification: in the Maldives, therefore on Ellaidhoo, you can observe grey reef sharks (but not very big like in Australia for example), in addition blackhead, whitehead, nurse sharks (lemon). If you film with GoPro, take 10 or 11 with a good stabilizer and very important: a long torch about 2-3 meters. And have a good stay on Ellaidhoo.

Witam. Super film z rajskich wakacji. Świetne ujęcia. Operator ma dobre oko:) W listopadzie zobaczę to na własne oczy. Mam pytanie: Czy głębokość wody pozwala na swobodne pływanie? Chodzi mi o rejon domków na wodzie. Gorąco pozdrawiam i życzę wielu udanych podróży:)
@joannabanaszek97903 ай бұрын
Pozdrowienia.
