I am still watching Northern Exposure on my ipad. Managed to convert NE entire series from DVD to my ipad and having been watching it all in a loop! Never gets tired of it and there is always something new that I learned from the show!

Rob was on Billions as a judge and Solicitor General. Maybe he can star as a fish out of water Top judge who is shanghaied/marooned to an off beaten town to serve as their temporary judge till he fell in love with the town and its people?

I liked how they all made fun of Charlie's methods but later relied on him.

I'm a fan of Numbers but this pilot is unwatchable, how Don's like "for no real reason I'm going to ask my brother if he can help" and then considers that important enough to interrupt a lecture. The direction was so jarring with long periods of just fancy graphics. Don and their dad were both unlikable, yes Don in S1-2 was still dismissive of Charlie but he wasn't a dick about it and the newer Don didn't even ask Charlie for help which helped soften being dismissive. It's interesting how some parts kept in the show like Amita mentioning about how mathematicians can't get a Nobel prize because 1 mathematician was good in bed was then reused in S2E1 by Megan. So this pilot was still at least somewhat relevant even then 2 years later. Every change they made was for the better, I'm just surprised that even with edits the show got greenlit because this is unwatchable.

I imagine how different some of my favorite shows may have been. blue bloods without len cariou. suits without Harvey. numb3rs with them, in Boston. it's so weird, because this looks like a plagiarized version of what was made. in hindsite, I think they made the right calls to do what they did with the show

The episode he was talking about the math wasn't wrong. There was an unexpected element that Charlie couldn't account for because he didn't have all the information.

Interesting to see this. I can't imagine the show with this lineup -- reminds me of "Criminal Minds" quite a bit. It was a great choice to make the Cal Sci environment a more important setting, and to make Don a more seasoned, tough-guy agent. I can't buy these two actors as brothers, but moreover, I like that the show ditched the tone of blatant animosity between Charlie and both Don and Alan, and gave the brothers a more realistic sibling angst.
