i clicked on this album, not knowing what to expect. The lyrics make this band not important in my view. but they sound fine, good background music for something with rock theme

am i the only one stoked as fuck to find that they have a generic sounding clean vocalist? screaming would not fit this vibe at all
@jalynmichaud52648 жыл бұрын
I like intervals with there clean vocals wish more people appreciated the talent this guy has
@cardbored_6 жыл бұрын
It's because salty metalheads stuck in the past and think clean vocals opens bands up to be liked in the mainstream and it shits on their hipster mentality of only listening to bands no ones heard of

Anyone know where I can find music similar to this? Ever since they lost their singer, I've been trying to replace the hole in my library. It's hard to find metal of this style, with clean vocals. Everyone said this guy was generic sounding, but the fact that they did clean vocals made them stand way the fuck out imo. Everyone wants to do screams, but I'm kind of burnt out on screams/growls.

+DarkeraStudios Maybe try Tesseract (Altered State album :))
@jameswebster29538 жыл бұрын
I know you say you're burnt out on screams/growls, and this is probably a no brainer, but have you tried Periphery? Their second album Periphery II: This Time It's Personal is a lot like this album. But there's 50% screams, 50% melodic singing. In fact, the first time I listened to A Voice Within, all I could think was there are a lot of similarities!
@GatheringHall8 жыл бұрын
James Webster I like Periphery quit a bit, but like I said, I'm looking specifically for clean only vocals

Am I the only one around here who actually likes the vocals? I think they're pretty well done and fit the musical tone. However the instrumental versions are great too.
@MrHellough8 жыл бұрын
I think they're highly intellectually and emotionally deep, and written in a way that flows in wonderful synergy with a band that wouldn't normally be easy to write over.

I seriously miss them in the new stuff :c one of my favourite voices, not because of the complexity of the sounds but because it blended perfectly well with the music, like another instrument
