I'm going to read a biography of Percy Grainger someday. I'm currently read about Thomas Edison. But whenever I'm reading to read about Grainger, the book I chose is called, "Percy Grainger," and it's by John Bird. It was published in 1976.

I awoke this morning with this song in my head. I couldn’t recall the lyrics so looked it up. My Mom used to sing it to us 9 kids. Brought tears to my eyes. She died 2019 at 101 yrs old. I’m 70 yrs old.

Can you listen to this without thinking of Danny Kay or John Belushi.

@@jonjamg True but Belushi used and danced to a portion of this song in a skit all those years ago on SNL. Can’t remember all the details but Belushi is in a black and white film and he dances in a cemetery using the music and some vocalizations. Should have know the correct spelling of Kaye’s name.

My parents had the LP's of this marvelous duo, At the Drop of a Hat and ...Another Hat. Then the Bestiary album! Their wit and humour are unequaled. My favorites are The Slow Train and The Armadillo. " Never tell a man the truth about the one that he adores. " Absolutely brilliant lyrics with Swann's melodic accompaniment.

You're right it isn't. I have checked my version and have the original 1859 version which I will post. I wouldn't have made the title up! Give me a little time and I will take this down, when I know that you have read this. If you know what this is, it would save me some time! It's been up for 12 years and no-one else has said anything!! Jon
