I became a swiftie after midnights and before speak now taylor’s version so I had never heard this song pre taylor’s version so I wanted to come back and listen to the stolen version to see how much both of their voices changed over time and wow. tay’s voice has gotten so much stronger and more mature and idk about the other guy but his voice also sounds so much better in taylor’s version. is it bad to say that I’m glad scooter stole her songs so she could re-record them

I actually like this one better. I think Gary's voice sounds better, especially at the very beginning. I also think many of the Taylor's versions suffer from weird mixing, where the vocals and instruments don't feel quite as cohesive as they should. I do have a sensitive ear for that kind of thing, though, so I realize not everyone cares about that stuff.

This song randomly popped into my head today after years of not hearing it. Had to come listen to it and wow, a lot sure has changed from the last time I heard it... Part of me relates to some of this now, when I was a little girl I just liked how emotional and sad it sounded.
