Great demo , like your other one I watched. Hope you some day will give a spoken tutorial from zero to hero :) , this is little too difficult for me but would love to create tracks like this. Compliments for your work.

Amazing! Needs a powerful computer to do that, my i3 almost ran and hid in the closet, shaking. "Don't try this on me, please, I'm begging!"

I mean, u can get i7 allready cheap, or people give away.. ? Where are u located? I was selling my i7 4790k like 200 dollar. If u use dune3 it is quite cpu friendly aswell

Very nice. I love how the track “ventures out” and away from the beat for a good part now to return at the end. Well done!

I really appreciate that you commented on the music, I generally always try to deviate from the established feel at some point, be it in timing, tempo, key, mode etc. I use a lot of generative ideas as a starting point lately, but generally always then add a 'composed' section that breaks it up
@gesslr6 ай бұрын
@@dissonate That’s a great idea. I’m beginning to explore generative musics with my modular … I will play with that concept if you don’t mind! 🙂

Great bass
@dissonate8 ай бұрын
thanks, I do not really consider myself a bass expert, I generally dont cut the ultra low frequencies or do any multi band compression or sidechaining or anything like that, I think the type of music in this track benefits from the different sounds interfering with one another at different times

Really cool track, feels like it evolves between vibes. Kind of starts off spacey, then gives me like intrique vibes, then horror, then action, then deep cosmic. Love it!

This is great. I still need to get my head around using steppic and chords. But to see this generative composition is super cool.

Awesome, particularly loving the guitar tones and the atmosphere of the track. I'm also a big fan of u-he and Blender, though I still have to try out the simulation nodes… Still wrapping my head around the basic geometry nodes. 😅 Very powerful though.

thanks for listening, I have wanted to bring back guitar into my music for a while, a couple of years back I made primarily guitar driven music, finding a way to make the overdriven guitars sit well with synths without normal 'metal' style drums is challenging for me

Unfortunately my camera overlay (which adds nothing in this video and makes me look strangely fat but I digress...) gets in the way of dragging and dropping patterns out of stepic into the arrangement. Doing this creates a midi clip with the randomization from the various stepic panels, so if anything is set to random you get a different version each time you drag and drop, a really nice feature, basically I created the entire arrangement by dragging and dropping clips until I found ones that worked well enough with each other

So placing a Bitwig midi-cc device in front of Stepic and then the Synth is giving a lot of extra options. Nice!
@dissonate10 ай бұрын
I think I could have placed that midi cc device after stepic, but I wanted to show that you can now set stepic to allow midi cc and notes to pass through if you wish change patterns in stepic based on receiving notes etc. hence my double stepic setup
@cryptout10 ай бұрын
Cool to see it used with Bitwig in this way.

I will also add, overbridge works flawlessly for me, on windows 11, through a generic usb2 powered hub, I have both the digitone and digitakt working simultaneously through overbridge and it never glitches or drops out - your mileage may vary!
@kvmorgan111 ай бұрын
Me too. I use both my Syntakt and Digitone through a hub on OSX/Overbridge without issue.
@dissonate11 ай бұрын
One thing I forgot to mention in the video, in bitwig you can see 3 lfo's on the digitone overbridge plugin, these are controlling numerous parameters on each of the 4 x digitone channels, the hardware unit itself has only 2 lfo's but by using bitwig and overbridge, you can have infinite lfo's, hence you will see the midi light on each channel of the plugin blinking non stop as it receives lfo data
