We just bought in this area, at least I think. We’re near 8th street. We have a half acre and live on a culdasac. We live in PA this is our 2nd home and plan on doing AirbNB or something along those lines until we can move.

My husband and I have lived in The Isles at Waterway Village for nine years. We love it. Perfect for retirees who want a beautiful, well-managed neighborhood with no upkeep. The location makes it easy to get downtown or to the island. You called it.

Thanks, i think my choice of words could have been better here... something was lost in translation from my brain to my mouth! What I really wanted everyone to know was that Southwest Vero beach is full of great, establish neighborhoods with lots of beautiful trees and traditional style, custom built homes. Not your typical tract HOA neighborhoods right on top of each other.. I think these neighborhoods are so great for families looking for a little bit more space and more character in a home!

I didn't know that Ivied in Southwest Vero Beach. I have lived there 35 years in Glendale Lakes. I like living here, it is a great location.

No, I don't at this time. there's only a small portion of Vero Beach that is buildable west of I 95 as of now, I don't believe they have expanded it much.

Vero Beach has an airport too, and from Hartford, Ct. they offer direct flights to and from the town. That's a major reason I plan on visiting the area soon and to see things for myself. Much easier to fly right to Vero versus traveling to WPB and then driving up.

Worst time ever to buy Mrs. "Realtor." Tell perspective buyers to expect negative equity immediately after their purchase. Since homes are still Overpriced by 35-50% & Interest rates are at 7.5%, Coupled with HIGH Property Taxes, home Insurance, & H.O.A. fees. Its nothing but a hole in the ground eating up ALL of your equity for the next 10 yrs. Worst time ever to buy

Regarding the Vero Beach airport, currently the only flights that are seasonal are the flights from Vero Beach Airport to Islip. The other destinations from Vero Beach Airport, White Plains, Hartford and Providence are year-round.

I think you should add that most of the communities such as Sebastian River Landings doesn't allow short term rentals. I believe the lease has to be at least 6 months or maybe even 12 months. We live in Orlando and vacation at Disney's Vero Beach. We love Sebastian and want to move to Sebastian in 2030 when our children go to college. We love the Sebastian fishing, the Sebastian spoil islands, the Sebastian sandbar and the boat ramps at Dale Wimbrow park and main street are not busy. Plus you are somewhat close to Orlando airport and the Disney resorts. We look forward to Sebastian and the fishing, boating, etc and it being quiet by 9 pm.

If it’s been on the market for that long, it’s over priced. And just because you get it down to where the market ought to be does not make it a good deal. A good deal is below market. And a really good deal is really really below market.

Thanks for taking the time to make this video. Your information, aside from the flooding issues, didn't seem specific to Vero Beach. The points you brought up could be applied to almost any residential community in America. I loved Vero Beach when I last visited, but I noticed the cell phone reception on the island was really sketchy. Things like that should be in your video.

I live and work in Vero, so I can really only speak to the area I live and serve. People call us every day asking for infoemation about our area- and we help thwm decide if Vero Beach is or is NOT where they want to be. Its not for everyone, and thats ok! I love living here personally

We looked in vero. A bit pricey and the whole town is closed down by 9pm. A little sleepy for our taste.

I think your review was very negative and unfair. For a small beach town Vero has an elegance and sophistication reminiscent of when more well known towns did years ago. I agree there’s not much of a nightlife but you can always run to Sebastian for bars and clubs. The weather isn’t any more vulnerable than other places in Florida, and we have a beautiful theatre, museum and art galleries. Vero Beach is not a Zero - it’s a Plus! And I’m grateful I chose Vero Beach as my forever home. I’m from NYC and I appreciate this paradise.

Hey there, thank you so much for your feedback. I actually am just trying to provide a pragmatic review of Vero beach because, it's not for everybody. It's definitely for me, I love it here. I enjoy every day of raising my family here... I have this entire KZbin channel devoted to why I love Vero beach . But I do have some people come to my channel who want to understand all of the positives and all of the negatives when making a decision on whether or not they should move here. I'm sorry that you took my video to be so negative but that really was not the intention. I'm so glad to hear that you love Vero and it's your forever home, it really is a paradise to us too!!

Hey Rachel, good morning! I’m looking to relocate my family of 5 to this part of Florida from Palm Beach County. That being said, there are some things we’re hoping to keep like having an Aldi nearby (which is much more affordable than Publix even though we still love Pub) and a Costco for big box purchases that also helps the family get a better bang for buck.. naturally with a population growth these things are more than likely going to eventually make their way to every part of Florida but have you heard it being a possibility in Vero in the near future & the second part to my question is their a more “progressive” part of Vero where there’s a palpable expectation of future growth/expansion? Love the small town vibe just care for some of creature, comforts as well… :) TIA -Rafa

Hey Rafa, thanks so much for the message! I agree, the creature comforts are nice to have. So far there's no talks of us getting a Costco i. the immediate area. We currently have a Sam's Club here in Vero beach and there is an Aldi in Fort Pierce. I think if you don't mind some middle ground between West Palm Beach and Vero beach, Port St. Lucie might be a good option for you. That would provide you proximity to Aldi and proximity to Costco if you want to go south a bit for a special pick-up trip. I say this also without understanding in more detail exactly what you're looking for and your price point but… Generally speaking, Port St. Lucie is going to give you a lot more of those conveniences than Vero beach . And it's not quite as mad as the Palm Beach congestion.

Appreciate the quick response.. ideally wanted to avoid even the congestion of PSL as I hear it can get pretty bad but my guess is that’s more to the west. We’d like to stay under $750k on a SFH with 4/3 set up since we love to host and have 3 kiddos.. I grew up in old Ft. Lauderdale/Lauderdale by the sea and can remember driving up to the sand, riding my bike to the beach and just laying out for the day. Nostalgic a bit but I hear Vero can still offer some of that. We will need to drive through and spend some time up there to get a feel for it all & see what works. Appreciate the feedback, anything else you could offer we’d appreciate it. Take care!

@@rafam5039 absolutely! I understand the nostalgia. I didn't grow up in Florida but every spring break and summer we were here in the Jupiter area and I feel similar… It used to be really quiet and old Florida and now it has exploded. I love the vibrance of all of that activity, but on a day-to-day basis, I think that the Vero Beach pace is better for my family and just the convenience of being able to get out and about in a reasonable manner. Definitely come up and check out Vero Beach. If you want to do what we call an 'exploratory tour' and look at some houses in your price range while you're here, we can also set that up for you.it's essentially a no pressure showing :-). You can also check out some of the other videos on my page If you haven't already. I have a ton of them about Vero beach! I actually have a playlist specifically catered to folks like yourself, who are trying to get more information about Vero beach.

Do not move to Port St Lucie. It's very expensive with NYS taxes. The developers are destroying the city.. it's going to be overcrowded. 1000's of homes are being built everyday. Traffic is a nightmare and the infrastructure can not handle it. It was the biggest mistake of my life.

I certainly hope that all this new development is done with preserving the environment as a top priority. The county government will play a big role in how the future takes shape. It is crucial that the quality of life be their first concern.
