No sand should help the sand shortage also.

Good video, well presented. I made a water feature in the back yard that has plants. During heavy rains it just over flows. Saves having to add water. This video shows how to do it better. Thanks.

Good for tropical countries. In cold climates the water below the surface will freeze and expand and weaken the layers by day until it cracks

Water go under the road and create void, gets clogged so it has to be cleaned, also places with clay soil and shit have to have the water pumped out. Not to mention the obvious it's weaker than traditional concrete so it can only be used in parking lots or low stress areas, also can not be used on a slope because it will drain to the bottom and build up

I hope someone has the answer. Should we just give up if our soil is clay

Infiltration well(s) or borehole(s). Certainly dug deeper, beyond the clay line! Might be slightly more involved but useful anyway. Cheers

You can incorporate sand and compost into the soil to help loosen is up!!!

Thanks so much for your video. I'm just beginning to learn about rain gardens and how to utilize rain water in my garden. I used to live where water rights were a big issue and we weren't legally able to save rainwater because it actually belonged to the entities that had water rights. Now I see I have much to learn and your video was instructive for me. I hope you will keep making videos.

If I’m already coming to watch the video to learn how to make a rain garden I don’t need the 2 minutes at each end and beginning to be propaganda fluff.

It's too bad about the music over her awesome narrative (too loud). Awesome in formation, nicely thought out and well written!
