Amazing thank you so much I’ve just learned a whole new awareness of my RSI I’ve been having 12 months of sports massage therapy for and could’ve saved all that money!

Hi Jorge, greetings I've watched this video, and it seems pretty simple and straight forward, yet also explaining details about that shoulder area. It also seems cool to only present 1 exercise to fix things in that area I'll be honest and try to be short, I've gone through many many tutorials about this on internet, but still I have a mid level painful clicking in my left shoulder at the front in that front shoulder/bicep area, since around 9 months. It appeared just a day or two after some gym exercise in the area, and then it stayed for these months. I tried to solve it as I said trying to apply much info that I saw, but none has seemed to work, the clicking is still there (I also feel some pain or nuisance down the bicep sometimes, or in some spots around the area) My conclusion, for what I've read and seen, is that I may have over massaged the area, and also rounded shoulders (which I didn't know previously that could influence this), maybe also over stretching So after this, I just decided to let the shoulder rest, not do much about it, other than trying to keep shoulders back, the posture aspect to avoid compression and thus that possible irritation/inflammation as they mention Still, as I say, the clicking is still there.... so it seems that sth else could be done to fix it. But, honestly, I didn't find the fix yet I will try this simple exercise, and keeping shoulders back, and if it's possible to have the chance to have some little assistance here, I can get back here to update about the clicking I also tried some similar strengthening exercises, but I either felt pain when doing them, or just didn't seem to work. By the way, I feel some clicking in the shoulder when I do the exercise you suggest, as I'm doing them now the first time, is it convenient to do it anyway? I mean... is it part of the process and overtime it will stop, or would it be advisable to better find sth else? To me this has been quite annoying this last time... because it kind of hinders many moves with the shoulder, and of course also have stopped gym work since these many months (like around 9...) because of this too Hope I can hear from you and hope it will work! Thanks a lot, cheers

Update (day 5) I have been doing the exercise everyday, also doing a bit of hanging. Btw, I do it pulling with the arms closer to the body most times, because when trying a more open movement as shown in the vid, clicking appears many times... So I'm kind of doing similar variations, trying also to sometimes do the exercise suggested or as similar as possible. It "seems" to have improved... but so far I can say it seems to me that it hasn't subsided/fixed totally... what I mean of course is that there's still clicking/pain at the front of the shoulder, in some specific movements... like for eg. pressing the toilet button, or moving a blanket... those movements when kind of moving the arms to the front... or sometimes just as I wake up... 🤷🏻♂🤷🏻♂ There's still pain/clicking... with varying intensities Will update again in some days, cheers

Your video could be more helpful if it filmed and focus more toward the leg while you were showing the exercises. Plz redo your video to show more of the full leg in action. Thanks

This comment is 6 years late….2024. But….. my chiropractor taught me the lacrosses ball trick and it gave me instant relief on my forward shoulders. So, it wasn’t really painful at all and I believe is beneficial. However, I was still aware that I needed to strengthen the muscles in back and did not know what to do. You are the second person t recommend this particular exercise. So, thanks!

main problem is; modern ergonomics are just not natural to the human body. unfortunately this won't change unless people stop buying into the grift of "ergonomic" products

I suffered from this pain and injury for over 7 years. I went to multiple back doctors, had multille images conducted, multiple physical therapists, mutliple massage therapists, multiple chiropractors, multiple acupuncturists. The only thing that helped was working out my back muscles, specifically engaging the Traps and upper Rhomboid in controlled correct posture seen here. These are great exercises that are affextive. I would suggest adding a second gym day of: With correct posture engaging both muscles: •Standing pull downs •Sitting Rows, pulled toward abdomen •Sitting pull downs with a bar. •Bench or standing rows (seen in the video) • Assisted machine scapula row - for horizontal arm pull ins and pull outs (seen in the video with arm band but both directions with weight) • Scapula row with weight - Lying flat on bench either perpendicular to floor or incline, lifing arms horizontally from together to apart with weight (this is the advanced version of the arm ban or assited machine work out). • Develop another day of shoulder workouts ( like the shoulder shrug). If you dont do the works outs shown in the video or suggest above consistently, and continue to work on the computer or game on the computer, the pain will come back. Be consistent, stay out of pain. Pain makes everything suck, and for me it makes me irritable which is not okay for those i care about. Good luck, you got this!

After I did the exercise (1 set of 10 reps with red resistant band) I'm pretty sore from behind the neck and between right shoulder blade and spine. Does that mean it's working? Thanks in advance!

I've been dealing with mouse shoulder for years now. Worked at a company that didn't have an ergonomic setup: too huge of a screen which made me sit as far back as possible to relieve eye strain, but the consequence was that I was always hyperextending for my mouse. I've tried tons of different exercises, switching to an ergonomic mouse, switching to a left mouse, and nothing has worked. I found your video and started this exercise and it feels so GOOD like it actually gives me immediate relief. It has been two days now but I am eager to see how my pain manages over some more time. thank you!!

It would be really nice if we could see more than just your upper body. Yes, many of us out here are wondering if we have flat back posture. And yet you never give us a whole body view. So please maybe redo the video with the whole body view of the actual body shape and posture. Also, please show the exercise again with the whole body. Not just above the waist. Thank you so much.

This video should be pinned to the top of KZbin suggestions. I've been dealing with painful arms and hands for over 20 years and after these instructions (and the other one with the 5 tips) my pain was mostly gone within a day 😲. Thanks a lot for the insights!🎉

Excited to work this into my daily routine. I get super gnarly headaches from a knot/tension around my shoulder blade after heavy deadlifts. I guess I have scapular winging on my right side. Would this exercise help with that?

Its hard to see the QL's when the guy has a muffin top. Also, love handles and visceral fat is a source of chronic disease as men approach and pass middle age. The QL's are located deep below other layers of muscle, but if you can't see your serratus posterior muscles, you probably have an unhealthy about of back and visceral fat.

Does this help with the pop when you put your arms out to the side and rotate the shoulder inward/to the front? (Essentially rotating the hands down and shoulder forward) I hope this makes sense.

i have the same problem, from the same injury (i had dozens of them), I have that red band and do those about once every 3 months, lol. Guess I should do them more often. But question...as a result I have PTT pain especially with cycling. Any tips to address both of these together, other than consistency and time?
