Wow nice lights indeed! Out here in CA Bay Area, they just completed eletricification and retired the last F40's.

@@StreamlinersCinema1 yea. It's fantastic to see improvements like electrification, but always a little sad to see older equipment go.

@ my small little engine. ☺️ It runs well and is powerful. It comes with a switch onboard to power the pantograph. I hope to get an old LGB crocodile loco one of these days.

That's a nice variety of electrics. I would have painted the EP5 shell in McGuiness NH but that's one of the RRs that model. I have the EP5 from Rapido Trains {HO} and Its quite the motor pulling the Rapido Osgood Bradley coaches.
@chicagolandrailroader15 күн бұрын
@@Stanf954 funny thing is, the CR shell I painted was originally NH, but it was in awful condition. NH EP-5s aren't hard to find, so I'll surely find one sometime. Thanks!

That whole working catenary system is still pretty amazing to me. And the to wire your locomotives to use it… even more amazing.

Noce to see the catenary, but run only 1 pantograph but only the rear one.
@chicagolandrailroader18 күн бұрын
@@jkimnach8701 Because I have built an entire overhead contact system from scratch, I am well aware of real life electric locomotive operations. I know that generally, electric locomotives tend to run with only their rear pantograph up. However, my model locomotives run slightly better with both up. And for some of my engines, running with only one up for extended periods causes them to get too hot and risks damaging them. So, there are operational reasons why I usually run 2. Thanks for commenting!
