I can't see how anyone makes money doing this lol . time is money folks. What can you possibly charge to engrave s $35 knife? $50? Its not even worth the time.

every time i get to the merge stage it fills six boxes with swatch image around area im trying to merge

Are the sizes correct when you take the outline from a picture ? i did not add up when i tried this, i used to scan everything with a flatbed scanner but this is kinda difficult when its getting bigger.

Great Vid thank you for your helpful information. When I go to Expand I only get the option to expand the fill and not the object and stroke. How can I select this like on your screen.

So much easier than Inkscape. Wish they’d make a pattern fill and expand like that.

When I import into EZCAD, even after merging everything into adobe, my background is not imported, just the outline, what could have happened?

Cause EZCAD sucks. You have to play with the merge and combine settings until you get the right one. I use Inkscape and what works for one image in EZCAD, doesn’t work for the next. It’s stupid.

like the video, but speed up your setting outline to a specific spot by using the place to center button. And there is a setting to import to center in parameter settings, will keep you from having to search for your importing designs.
