I know you posted this 7 months ago but only the U.S. has a marine branch and you need to be a citizen to join so good luck with that :)
@Waka1816 жыл бұрын
OK that’s not accurate. Upon successful completion of recruit training, the new marines become naturalized and are then considered US citizens.
@ok44126 жыл бұрын
I remember my recruiter telling me that you are required to have either a U.S. passport or a green card to be eligible for recruit training. It makes sense too. How else would we stop terrorists from infiltrating our military if anyone from anywhere could join?

We had a DI sent to us in mid training that was hard to understand. Once when he was taking us back to barracks from chow he met another DI and began a conversation with him. When he turned his attention back to us, half the platoon had already walked over a parked car.

I have heard better. I know that he should have changed octaves more and paced himself differently. I'm not knocking him, I'm just saying that I think he could have done better. As an old D.I. way back in the very early seventies, I do know that some of us lost our voices due to intense verbal training of the privates, so some cadences called by some of us did not sound as good as we wanted them to. Semper Fi to all my brothers and sisters.

That's why the Marines at MP school always out marched those of us at CBRN school. Nobody had a cadence voice anywhere close to the level of perfection their cadence caller had.

my drill instructor (female) called cadence to the tune of the marine corps hymn. I thought I would be slick and tried it but messed up. LOL everyone told me I was great at calling cadence so they loved it when I marched them, but for that I was a big poopy.
