I love these adventurous long designed tracks just not so much fun when it takes half a day to pack it away admittedly designing such a track can be just much fun as the racing itself

Yep, especially if your running without magnets and have proper controllers. Hobby grade controllers give you precise throttle and break controls, trims etc. You can also build drift circuits. Drifting isn't great for winning races though but does look good.

Can you use this setup to switch off auto braking? I want to be able to use a digital setup with Lane changing and manual braking via the controller? I grew up with analog slot cars and miss having to control the momentum control element. These days the cars just come to a dead stop as soon as you release the throttle.
