Congrats on your purchase. You sound excited. Thanks for the review. That being said, I simply don't have a desire to watch any movies these days. They are too unrealistic, overpriced and lack in talent. Seems like I've seen them all, even the ones that haven't been filmed yet. $200 for a DVD player? I'm surprised they cost that much anymore. Didn't think people still used disc's for movies? I don't think I know anyone with a DVD player. I thought most people downloaded their movies, whether legal or illegal and then transferred them to flash drive, the cloud, or something like that. Hollywood lost my interest years ago. 6000 cameras trained on one scene so that if things look screwy with one cam, there's 5999 more angles to look at. Actors dont really have to be actors anymore. They only have to remember 5 words per scene, then the cam jiggles around so the viewer can't see just how ignorantly unskilled they are. Yet people pay to keep them all filthy rich while they distort childrens brains. Happy watching

Thanks very much for the comment and enjoying the video. Yes, there's still quite a big community of film lovers out there who still collect DVDs, Blu-Rays, and 4K discs. The last couple years have been great for us collectors with some cool releases. This particular player was the most expensive I've purchased, but I was able to get a good deal for it and had some leftover gift cards to even out the cost. Streaming's OK for some things, but nothing beats a physical copy of a film or TV show in your hands that you can play anytime you want without commercials.

@@tvnash I agree with you regarding discs over flash drives. Its seems as though bits of data gets lost when using a thumb drive, which causes missing areas, loss of quality. I mainly collect music and I've noticed the difference between MP3's vs. Wave and Flac files. Take care my friend.

Heya Stephen. Thank you for the shoutout !. I think you will quite like What Have They Done To Your Daughter. Massimo brilliantly blends the giallo and the poliziotteschi genre together, just like Sergio Martino did in The Suspicious Death Of A Minor. I hope you will end up liking The House That Screamed. I still have to pick up Borsalino myself. Cheers and take care bud.

Thanks very much Thijs buddy, one of these days I'm definitely checking out What Have They Done to Your Daughters as I've liked Bandidos and Colt .38 Special, two other classics by Dellamano. House That Screamed is on my watch pile for October this year. Take care and speak to you soon.

Hey, thanks so much for the nice shout out! And I'm glad to see you join in on this project. The House That Screamed is an excellent horror film. I'd never seen it until I picked up the Arrow release a few years ago, and I was really surprised. It's loaded with atmosphere and has some good scares, but it's not overdone with violence. I hope you like it. The rest of the titles you show here are ones I'm not familiar with. Private Crimes looks like something I would like. Thanks again!

Thanks very much friend, I think you'd get a kick out of seeing Borsalino with Delon and Belmondo, an old school style Gangster story done in the early 70's. Turner Classic Movies has it on their On Demand section if you have Xfinity and are interested in checking it out. Take care and speak to you soon.

This is an excellent film, and a testament to Mario Bava's ability to create a near masterpiece with a low budget. He was one of the few directors who knew how to use color cinematography as if it were black & white. I haven't seen all of his films, and I haven't necessarily loved all the ones I have seen. But I think his other color classics are Black Sabbath and Kill Baby, Kill. Blood and Black Lace is also amazing to look at. The scene in Terror in Space where the two astronauts explore the ancient spaceship with the giant is absolutely one of THE best sequences in all of science fiction cinema. There is simply nothing else like it. I first had the Planet of the Vampires release on VHS, then bought the Midnight Movies release, and now I have the Blu-ray from Kino-Lorber, which is really beautiful I've heard very good things about the Italian version. The AIP title Planet of the Vampires is very catchy, but also misleading, as the film has nothing at all to do with vampires!! Great video!

Thanks very much friend. The only Mario Bava films I felt were below par so far are Bay of Blood and 5 Dolls for an August Moon. Pretty much anything else he's done and has thrilled me immensely. that artistic flavor of his shines through every time. Terrore Nello Spazio is Top 5 and Top 10 list worthy of his filmography.

Hi Steve! I'm glad you've received the package safe and sound. I still need to grab a copy of Django Shoots First myself someday. That's a very nice edition of Planet of the Vampires. I picked up the Radiance release recently and saw the Italian cut last week. It's a fun movie. You can clearly see that Ridley Scott was inspired by it when he made Alien and Prometheus. Looking forward to see what you are going to send me, buddy. Take care!

Definitely pick up a copy of Django Shoots First for your collection, it's the best presentation I've seen thus far. I ordered myself a copy of Radiance Films release of Planet of the Vampires too, Mario Bava is one of a handful of filmmakers I double dip on when the releases are that fantastic. Plus, I'm curious to read the English translated text of the short story the film is based off of. Take care my friend, and speak to you soon.

Hi Steven, I too have been collecting these editions for my spaghetti western collection, & like yourself need the last few, i"m super excited that the next release is "The Five man army" which is a very good spaghetti western & do hope for more releases on this line, i"m hearing they going up to 15 editions but i do hope for more, "Death rides a horse" is a personal fav of mine & would be in my top 10 all time Italian westerns. What i do like abut these releases is that some of these movies are released on the blu ray format for the first time, so Plaion Pictures are giving them a nice special collectors l treatment release.

Thanks very much for commenting Carlos, love your feedback. I believe the upcoming Five Man Army Blu Ray is a stand-alone release and is in Mediabook form, though it would've been an excellent title to include in the Western all'Arrabiata line. Looking forward to what else they have planned to release.

Great Haul Stephen. I have The Road To Fort Alamo as well but i still have to see it. And yes, there was a problem with the transfer i believe. Goodbye And Amen was a really good film and an interesting "take" by Damiano on a political thriller. That release of The Psychic is a great edition. I have it as well. Great picture quality and Severin put soo much special features on there. By the way: I don't know if you are aware but Umbrella Entertainment is releasing A Lizard In A Woman's Skin, which i already pre-ordered. Savage Guns is my favorite western box from Arrow so far and i think you are gonna love Four Of The Apocalypse. The violence is not really straight up in your face. I still have to get Danza Macabre 2 though. I have volume one which is a great box set. You can still get it i believe. Cheers.

Hi Steven, You can always count on a well deserved shout out from Donny (CinemaniacSeventy7) I do have “Beatrice Cenci” & believe it or not I haven’t got around to watching 😬. “The Designated victim” I quite enjoyed, solid movie, “The Bounty killer” was a fine start to Milian’s career in westerns. “The Big Gundown” one of the spaghetti western greats, “Almost human” is my fav from Milian’s movies in the Euro crime genre. Maurizio Merli certainly a fine actor in the Euro crime movies & made his name, but actually I was quite impressed with his late spaghetti western entry “Mannaja a man called Blade” quick on the draw as well as in axe throwing 🤣, real shame it came at the end of the genre, as well as his early passing. Fine video Sir 😎👍

Thanks very much for the comment Carlos, Definitely give Beatrice Cerci a watch when you can, it's a really well made film, one of Fulci's most underrated pieces IMO. There's a couple of tough spots to watch, but overall it's impressive. Tomas Milian gave me a whole new appreciation of the art of acting with his films, such dedication and intensity. I've grown really fond of Maurizio Merli in the last few years, he's one of the top dogs in the Euro Crime genre.

Hi Steven, Going Multi region I feel it’s a route most movie fans go if they collect physical media, very essential. Nothing worse than wanting movies that is region locked 🤬, it was a move I made wanting to hunt down certain spaghetti westerns & Euro crime movies etc & getting these fantastic editions from companies like Kino Lorber, Arrow U.S & Scream factory mainly . And also I’ve had a lot of fun in trading with other guys in the community wanting releases from here in the U.K. Definitely going multi region enhances one’s collection 😎

Hi there Carlos, and thanks for watching, My parents convinced me to give Dr. Who a try as it was a show they enjoyed on PBS back in the 70's and 80's. When the show celebrated its 50th anniversary I checked them out and really enjoyed the Troughton, Pertwee, and Baker ones the most. William Hartnell, Peter Davison, Colin Baker, and Sylvester McCoy were OK, but I never had the desire to continue with their respective periods. Jodie Whittaker as the first Female Doctor I enjoyed a lot as well.

Hi Carlos, and thanks for viewing, No worries on viewings, we all get busy, catch up at whatever pace is best. Anthony Steffen has grown on me I must admit, at first I was unsure about him, but over the years my opinion has improved. My three favorites from Steffen so far are: Seven Dollars on the Red, A Coffin for the Sheriff, and Gentleman Killer. He pleasantly surprised me in Dead Men Don't Count, it was really interesting seeing him crack jokes and smiles. Train for Durango and Shango are two others of his I need to see.
