Oh they are definitely bigger now! Have you had issues with them eating other fish? I was thinking of putting 3 in a 60 gallon tank with a paludarium style top but I might have to rethink that as it looks like they get bigger than I was expecting.
@tracksandtanks5851 Жыл бұрын
Absolutely Matt. They're growing really quickly. No issues with other fish. Try to keep top dwellers out of the picture though. 60 gallons might be a bit small. They'd be fine for a year or so but then you'd have to upgrade the tank or sell the archers. Cheers man 😉👌🍻

Your Clouded archers look great. I have 4 in a 150 gallon and I have noticed that there seems to be a bit of a hierarchy. Looking to add a couple more. Have yours ever eaten any of the smaller fish? I had a couple Empire Gudgeons disappear without a trace and I suspect they got eaten.

@@tracksandtanks5851 thanks for the feed back I’ve seen many mixed reviews of what branch of archer can be kept fully fresh. I’m not wanting to lose my plants and I think I just picked up a single dwarf micro species and he’s in a 40 planted and is doing great.

I just stumbled on your channel when looking for archer fish. Your canopy is absolutely amazing! I read another comment where you said it was made of plexiglass and ABS plastic. How did you actually make it? I'm wanting to do an archer fish tank myself and a canopy would be required since I only have a 75g. But you are the only person that I have found that has a see-through canopy like this. I'd appreciate any tips you could provide! I hope you upload again soon. Your videos were fun to watch!
@tracksandtanks5851 Жыл бұрын
Thanks very much Tc r! The canopy was a matter of building an ABS frame the same width as the tank and then screwing stainless steel screws through the plexiglass and into the frame. The doors are mounted on stainless steel piano hinges which let you open up the front face completely for feeding and cleaning. Thanks very much for checking it out 🙂👍. I should have another video out in a few weeks.
@tcr7 Жыл бұрын
@@tracksandtanks5851 Hopefully my last two canopy questions. 1. Can you point me to where you purchase the ABS plastic? 2. Where does your frame sit? I'm wondering if it is light enough to sit on the tank's brace, just inside the tank on that lip? Or did you place it on top of the tank, probably gluing it down so it doesn't shift side to side? Thank you so much! And I hope your archer fish are doing great!
