XG is like the perfect storm…they picked the best members out of thousands of contestants…then they trained hard for years before they debuted. They released nothing but hit after hit. They cover all the genres and they have zero weaknesses. Couple that with good songwriting and a manager who seems to always lead them in the right direction…it’s no wonder why they are the hottest growing group in the world now. Other artists see that and respect it. It’s not a coincidence that the biggest Kpop groups out there are fanning over them. I’m telling you…XG is going to really explode this year, especially after Coachella.

They are such a fun group Popz! We definitely need to dive more into their shows and content they produce

I highly recommend you watch the GFriend discography in order. Every song is good but starting with their school trilogy of their first 3 songs Glass Bead, Me Gustas Tu and Rough will allow you to see their style gradually change over the years as they slowly grow up before your eyes. A must though is to react to the dance practice straight after the music video as they set new standards for girl groups when they debuted. Just sit back and enjoy it as it is a feast for the eyes. The synchronisation is out of this world and they create such beautiful patterns effortlessly as they just float across the floor. They are like 6 graceful swans gliding across the water. So Glass Bead should be your first song to react to next. The company was bankrupt and only had about 10 staff in total and couldn’t afford a dance teacher. They could only afford a windowless basement, a far cry from groups today. So they rented a dance teacher to create an elaborate choreography for them and SinB learnt it very quickly and then took over from the teacher when they had gone. She is a perfectionist so she worked tirelessly to teach it to the other members and you will be amazed at how well she did. Especially when you consider that she was only a 16 year old trainee herself at that time.

My guide is called a Guide to GFriend which is found on the channel M. It doesn’t have Apple era in the title. It has so many more genuinely funny moments and focuses on classic GFriend vocal clips as well. You see get to see so much more of their individual personalities and also how they interact with each other as a group than in this guide. Their choreography is also highlighted to show just what they are famous for in the better guide, rather than just a few random individual dance clips nearly all from the Apple era as in this guide here. It shows their perfect alignment and synchronisation and also their famous x2 speed dancing that they did for the first time in Kpop on Weekly Idol. The presenters often used the term Godfriend for them after that. I would love you to watch the other guide still as you will enjoy it so much more than this one and laugh at them a lot more in my opinion, plus be further amazed at their talents. Almost all the clips are different to the ones used in this video, so there is only a little overlap on occasions which will keep it fresh and new for you.

It’s crazy how she stays true to herself, remains humble, and is consistently trying to improve. I mean she is part of a group that has dominated this last year like I have not seen in a long time. They are on top of the world, and all the members are so humble and down to earth and relatable. It’s just refreshing to see. And I have a feeling the members are not going to be content with their success they had this year…I have a feeling they are going to be preparing to dominate this coming year too.
