I' ve read some old texts from way back, early, before 1940 i think those microfiche discourses were written, to see if i could uncover any of their secrets you hear they keep from time to time, back in rhe 90s... I didnt uncover any secrets per say, but i copied, maybe ten ir twenty microfiche copies so i could read them at home ro see what all the mystery was about at the IU library i think it was, and the subjects i searched, you could tell by how they presented themselves that they wrre as friendly as any of us, and i liked how they spoke of the wives, in one discourse, reminded me alot of Laurel and Hardys Sons of the Desert, honestly, but without the silliness of Hardys comedic frusyrations of Laurel, instead a true message was given everyone, unlike a church service the discourses, they tended to must hsve kasted longer than a typical church service, compared to how long it takes to read some og them, but i can tell they wrote the discourses with well intent too, ive had neighbors who were members, and others, all friendly, but i have heard negative words on the radio, i guess from snobby people maybe thats the reason, not sure, im not a member, i heard they have to pay dues... In the 90s, I read some discourses going way back, i think the discourses mat have went back into the 1800s perhaps, but you can tell theyre friendly they are known to contribute funds for different organizations that are in need...
