One thing not noted is the fact that $ was misplaced before this incident. Can't say it's true, but can't say it's not. Still a tragic event.

Katrina was scary because the dams that held the city of New Orleans from flooding were pushed over and the city completely flooded. It took several weeks before the water finally receded. Most people ran from the city leaving it a ghost town in the middle of a lake. People have started to return but it’s still not to the same degree of population it was before. Many dead are still missing and those that are buried were washed out of tombs and each had to be tracked down. It was a nightmare. Even the hospital barely functioned as it was flooded too, the doctors used outdoor areas to treat people with barely any supplies. Many former residents now live all over the country. They brought their food with them which was a major boost to local economies.

My husband worked with an environmental company and when the waters receded we went to Gautier, Mississippi to decontaminate and reclaim the wetlands. It looked like a war zone and the trauma and shock was in every person's eyes you met. Heartbreaking

The great San Francisco earthquake was because of wooden structures which couldn’t withstand the ground shaking. The switch to brick saved more lives. Now it’s steel but it’s being augmented with technology from Japan to help control damage.

Hurricanes aren’t that bad if you live in central Florida. They lose most of their energy during the journey from the coast. If a category four hurricane hits the coast which did happen a couple years ago, it downgrades so fast into a category 1 or tropical storm over the course of a few hours. The most we get is a few downed power lines or branches broke from trees. If power goes out it’s usually not more than a day or two. The power company is very quick to fix everything. The trees take longer usually not more than a week.

Living in the southeast, southeast Alabama, in the US, I have lived through tornadoes and hurricanes. We also get the occasional earthquake and live in the vicinity of the New Madrid fault zone. There were quakes and aftershock from this in 1811 and 1812 that actually made the Mississippi River run backward for a while. We have a running joke here that we only have 2 seasons....hot and humid, lol. Have a great day ladies and a merry Christmas!

Luther Vandross lost his father when he was 9. He and his little brother have been grown up with their mother. He never got married. Maybe cause he didn't want his eventual children to live what he has lived, this suffering he sang in this marvelous song ! I think he's sung it a few time before he deceased. It's like a prayer to God, like he wanted to see his father again. Luther is the most expressive singerman I've ever heard in my life. He sings with his whole soul and his technics is so high that it's ridiculous !!! My model and my vocal inspiration : Luther Vandross !!! From Côte d'Ivoire 🇨🇮

Incorrectness - Poles know history well. Poles saved Europe from the Tatars, saved Austria, which later enslaved Poland, saved Europe from the Bolsheviks, saved England which still told them to pay that Poles helped them in the history of uniqueness, Poland broke communism in Europe, but still had to pay off the long -term debt towards the state West. This is how Poland knows the taste of ingratitude, but Poles have a motto; "If you do not know how to act, you can be honest that you have a clear conscience."

Honestly you’re more worried about pickpockets than anything really. Guns you only see on police although you don’t really know. Just assume they have a concealed carry license and move on without thinking too much on it.

Considering the post-WWII context, what ethical support could Poland realistically expect from those two empires? The first empire justified colonial crimes as 'patriotic duty,' while the second empire treated some Nazi German soldiers better than their own Black soldiers returning home. After all, the true measure of ethics never lies in what is being said but only in what is done.

As a nation, we have survived the most invasions, wars of all European countries. We have been oppressed and attacked since time immemorial and from all sides. The allies turned away from us when help was needed, betrayed us in every war. It was terrible, they leveled our country to nothing and twice but the worst anyway was what the Ukrainian Bandera did. Now you don't talk about it, because it's not politically correct, but we remember how they nailed children to the fence, threw them alive into the fire, poked out their eyes with a bayonet. My grandfather lost his parents and brothers that way and now the Ukrainians are sitting with us because there is a war there. They have never apologized officiously for the crimes they committed against our people and if my grandfather were alive today he would not understand this and it would break his heart to see how we treat Ukrainians at our place better than our own countrymen and their presidency has only claims and resentments against us ....

Unfortunately for some reason space just disappears all the time. You put aside a space but oops used by something else. It always happens. I set aside a space for working on model kits but that got taken as my dad’s workbench. It’s an odd problem that just seems to happen. Even outside I set aside a little space to plant something but that gets taken up by another plant. Even that basement you see in the video was not converted into usable space like he wanted as he ended up dumping a mess of boxes down there and he ran out of space.
