I didn't see him at the state meet this year, do you know if he moved to another state. I think the 8th grade champ got 13'.

i saw this kid on milesplit I believe. Is he a freshman this year? my brother is a freshman in ohio and he made 14'1" 2 weeks ago

Gabriel Rapaport doesn't know pole vault very well but hey 14' is a good pole vault at any age. Gab did u catch that it was 7th grade, as in 12 and 13 years old?

7th grade only state record, do you realize the kind of vaulters that have come out of Illinios.............state overall record is 17-00.50. Plenty good enough for any state in the US. Come on people.

That's not true. I live in Illinois and we divide up the grades normally. Elementary: K-5 Middle or Junior High: 6-8 (or in some cases 7-8) High School: 9-12. Also nobody in the area I live in of Illinois pole vaults until high school. so its hard to believe that statement you made.

I was thinking that's not high, I'm at 12 right now and I'm a junior, my dads record was 13 and my cousin broke it at 16 1/2, then I rememered this is 7th grade haha

Amazing. I jumped 13'3" as a senior. As a 7th grader, HOLY COW!! Man that is a great accomplishment

@MrBlackDotHaus yes they would put him on that pole, i was there last year as a seventh grader and got 11th out of 30. and was is in 7th grade last year

IESA = Illinois Elementary School Association. Kids are officially in elementary school in Illinois until they reach 9th grade (high school).

in the description it says elementary school. which is he. i dont think hes in 7th grade they wouldnt give a small kid that long of a pole if he was only 12 or 13.
