Byron - although ALL individuals were called forth with a destiny before time was, no one truly walks in their destiny without knowing Christ. Whether you call it sanctification or surrendering yourself to the Lordship of Christ, both require us to be bond-SERVANTS. We are no longer slaves (see Book of Hebrews), but our surrender to our "master" defines our relationship and status as a bond-servant. Gratefully, the earlobe in the door crack is no longer required.

Hi Mike. Are you saying that we are automatically bondservants?
@mikelehnherr528929 күн бұрын
Byron - no. But I am saying if we do not choose being surrendered servants to Jesus, we will never fully walk out our destinies. Holy Spirit nudges, but we choose. So not only are we bond-servants, we continuously become more bound. When Paul wrote, I am crucified with Christ,” the case ending meant I was crucified, I am crucified, and I will be crucified with Christ. Whereas Hebrews speaks to the danger of, “crucifying Christ anew,” Paul says we must identify with the crucifixion daily. Again, that is by choice. BTW, this ties into the conversation around the author of Hebrews - and it ain’t Paul.
