Hi, Lane. My sister, Bari, found a link to your Mama White story and your entry into choral composing. I remember at the time, I was amazed that you had arranged that song for us to sing. Sweet memories enjoyed seeing the pictures of the Honor Choir tour and hearing your tale. I’m so proud of you! I’m so proud to sing your weird, wacky first composition. It was gorgeous! The most beautiful version I’ve ever heard of that song. Congratulations on your accomplishments and awards since then. You’re amazing!

I was able to sing these songs with the Canticum Lucis choir recently and they have quickly become some of my absolute favorites. The music is just beautiful and conveys the message of the lyrics so well. It was also a pleasure to meet the composer as we were learning the piece. Thank you Lane Johnson!!!

As my wife drew closer to her departure I played this hymn and we listen in tears. I weep whenever I listen to this song….

I played this for my seminary class and the Spirit testified to all listening to the reality of Jesus Christ, thank you for sharing your gifts with us.

That's a really pretty arrangement. Also, this song always makes me cry.

In the old West German Mission [1961-64] we often sang this hymn which always helped me soldier on through the weather and the endless doors, which seldom opened to us. But the tears still come when I hear this call to "rescue" and "save." Thanks guys--singing and the brother playing the piano.
