i love how well done this is! the contrast between aoba johsai, the calm and organised orchestra being led by a well-practiced and nearly perfectly honed conductior; and karasuno, a crazy, chaotic little band led by the drummer who's sometimes too fast for others to keep up. the instruments/roles given to them fit well, too! -- again, oikawa being conductor and kageyama being drummer, both respectively setting the beat/rhythm everyone else has to follow; daichi being given the trumpet, which can sometimes be seen as a leading instrument if i remember currently; noya having the bass, often overlooked but a consistent and important background memeber that serves as the backbone in a melody; etc etc. words cannot express how much i love this (also, daichi going ABSOLUTELY CRAZY on the trumpet. easily one of my favorite things here)

I agree with all of this! Thanks for sharing. The addition I’d make is that Daichi is playing the trombone, which sets a base tone for the band, helps blend the instruments, and defines the “character” of the band’s sound. Perfect for Daichi!

1:29 Oikawa’s not just a conductor in this moment. His teammates are kneeling before him like he’s their king. Raising his hands as if to simultaneously say “Raise your instruments” and “Rise, my knights” is genius
shosha to haisha is my favourite stageplay overall it’s so good and actually had me in tears

Here are all the instruments for every individual! Seijoh's Orchestra (Strings, Woodwinds, Percussion, Oikawa) Yahaba - Viola Watari - Violin Kunimi - Flute Kindaichi - Cello Matsukawa - Bass Hanamaki - Xylophone Iwaizumi - Timpani Oikawa - Conductor Karasuno's Band (Brass, Percussion, Hinata) Daichi - Trombone Suga - Trumpet Asahi - Saxophone or Clarinet Noya - Bass (?) Guitar Tanaka - Electric Guitar Ennoshita - Cymbals Yamaguchi - Maracas Tsukishima - Xylophone/ Glockenspiel Kageyama - Drumset Hinata - Hinata. Seijoh, the composed, refined symphony, against the cacophony of a jazz band like Karasuno. It's a wonderful comparison and quite accurate too!
