I really do like this game, but, it is definitely a guide game, one that can only be truly enjoyed with some assistance online. I am surprised when people call Genealogy an easy game, playing it blind, it is definitely not easy. It is a game with a lot of abusable mechanics, and can be easy, but to maximize it, you need a lot of knowledge and internet help, I doubt someone could figure it all out on their own. The original game in Japan came with a huge instruction manual. Sigurd is an amazing Jagen, he can do most of the work, if you know what you are doing you can early promote many units. I promoted Ethyln, Raquesis, and Lex all by this chapter, chapter 2. You need to trade many items around in the pawnbroker, maximize the arena, get the brave axe for Lex, etc, Ethyln return staff / mend a lot in chapter 1, Raquesis buy back return staff and buy paragon band from pawnbroker, have Dew give all his money to Raquesis so she can buy everything she needs. It is all possible, but the game throws so much shit at you at once most of the time, and many specific events require you to be in a specific place at a specific time. Your placements of characters in this game is of the most importance.

Fantastic game. I am torn on if this would have been successful if it actually released in the West. But, either way, it is a very high quality game for people who like strategy, slower games, rpgs, and great music / stories.

I like the Soul Calibur Games but what they did to Kilik. Why change him from THE Staff Guy in the Franchise to a lame Mimic Character? What did my Boy do to you Namco to deserve this downgrade? In general SC5 seems not as great like the older Games. The Roster misses some of the greatest Characters like Rock, Talim or even Origin Characters like Taki. Instead we've got 4 Characters who are pretty much all the same. 5 If want to include Elysium as well since she is a Mimic Character for all Characters with short Swords.

I wish anyone can play the Mystery of the Emblem in english. Too bad both the original and the remake are only Japanese. 🙁

Unpopular option, I loved this scV…it looked beautiful, the combat was fast..the story…meh…never cared about the main story in any game, but this was a legit game!

Create-A-Soul really peaked in this game Not only was the character creator unbelievably extensive, but they even through in a bunch of exclusive styles to make the characters feel more unique

Soul calibur 3 is really fun, I still enjoy it till this day.

Man the good old days, sc4 had more game modes every stage, soundtrack exceptionally destiny will tell and all the characters costumes was fantastic which made the game good for me. I miss it!
