Hi how did to secure the snapped hinge. I have the same hinge snapping. Did you screw it together.
@ColinTonkasdad Жыл бұрын
Hi, sadly i did buy the outer garnish at 160 quid...then i purchased a 6mm metal bar that i used to thread through all the hinges... im sure i did put that on another video... but as said not the best design unless roof is flat....

Overdrive and viscous fan makes these cars far more economical.. tyres are important, when size, width, tread pressure makes a big difference + the heavy foot.. I'm on efficiency settings for mine now.. I'm expecting to achieve an ambitious 20mpg 😂

I’m so sorry, my comment was aimed at a prostate cure advert that came up at the end of your video and I assumed it was that I was commenting on. Your lock idea is great and very well crafted, I would be happy to use them. Again my apologies this comment attached to your video and not the advert

Hi mate I am a big man with osteoarthritis too. I have owned 4 series land rovers in the past, but am worried with my knees etc I won't be able to do the work needed. How do you manage?
@ColinTonkasdad Жыл бұрын
Hi, sorry for late reply. I always try to work without being on knees, just impossible. Never had many problems because brute strength moved most things and I try to work with just bending, I can get on the floor but not pretty when I get up...lol the osteo is a pain and hands not as good as they were as knuckles not good... just take your time... happy days

@grahammullins94552 жыл бұрын
Had the exact same thing happen, gas blowout, after watching your video got some great tips, especially using pipe plyers to get the clips back on, little tip of my own, when you take the broken ones off throw away so you don’t mix them up and re fit the broken ones! Oh I did swear!🤣don’t think my explosion was as bad as yours but did you have to do a gas check? Just checking my system now. Great video.cheers
@ColinTonkasdad2 жыл бұрын
Thanks.... no gas check as it was my gas cooker one burner just mistakingly turned on... it does not work as needs replacing and parts are hard to come by !! So yes a big bang but the seitz helicopter for the money is overpriced and not fit for purpose...in my opinion. Cheers for your comment..

I have another problem with this window. There is no any Wind sealing. No rubber -nothing. Just looking for tips on thia mater. The design does not present any solution to avoid wind blowing inaide the camper. Mine is even mounted on completely flat surface so the gap is smaller than the one we observed in this video. Any proposal is welcome. Thanks for the video
@ColinTonkasdad2 жыл бұрын
Sadly the design is made to allow air to circulate! So some foam strips or similar fitted is the only answer. The product is just not good....and costly...cheers and good luck trying to sort...

Thank you for the vid. My tub isn't lined up properly with the chasis mounts (too high) and on all the buffers if that's what you call them this is a gap of about 1.5cm. I am hoping that after releasing the tub I can get it lined up correctly as the previous owner tried throwing it together before giving up!

hi Colin was wondering if you could advise me please I live here in Ireland only next door to you and was going to get one of these bikes I'm just unsure how it works so when you peddle does the motor kick in and help you along the way or something or can you just use the throttle only thanks ??
@ColinTonkasdad3 жыл бұрын
Hi, not sure on the new ones ! Mine you can just use the throttle and it will take you to the set speed, mine is set to 25mph...thats maximum. You can go faster if you pedal of course. You can also use just pedal assist that just kicks in as you pedal. Since buying mine a few years ago they have changed a few things but im sure they still have controls as i have just explained...cheers
@ColinTonkasdad3 жыл бұрын
Hi just checked the new one and it's been cut to the standard speed and throttle to assist at the low speed...bought the spec inline with other electric bikes...not sure you can change in the bikes control panel. That's how I changed mine.. cheers
