This is true, but only for Dominant cards which are already played and in a trait pile. If they are in your hand, any card can be stolen during other turns or age / catastrophe effects!

Hey there! So, we recommend playing with one expansion at a time - officially. That being said, you are more than welcome to mix in all of the expansions and play as you want. We love house rules and the chaos that a trait pile with all of those cards together can create, so it's really up to player's choice! Have fun!!

Of course, happy to!! So, when you suppress a card what happens is the suppressed card gets turned face down, and placed under a card in your trait pile. (I place mine horizontal to the card so I can see it peeking out on the sides.) That card is now one point. Each suppressed card is one point, no matter what their face value or effect/action. You count those up for suppression bonus points at the end. If a card with suppressed traits leaves your trait pile, those get placed at the bottom of the trait deck. Just trying to figure out how suppressing cards has an Benifits apart from each card being 1 point. Do any other cards that you can play enhance the points for suppressed cards ?

Once suppressed, a card can not be unsuppressed - this is correct. Depending on the card that has been suppressed, there could be a benefit or a loss of total points; a -2 card can become a +1, or a 4 card can lose 3 points. Strategize where you can and hope no random chance makes you get rid of cards you love! There are no enhancements to suppressed cards. They are simply just 1 point.

So will we still be able to open packs to complete or find cards at some point in this new expansion. I'm not referring to only foils only, I see there are gold packs. I really enjoyed buying boxes and filling the cards into my binder.

Imaginary Ends is a full set expansion - so all of the regular, non-holofoil cards that come in IE come in the set and those cards will be in the gold packs in holofoil, along with alt art and easter eggs. It's closer to the model we used for the Upgrade Pack. We're glad to know you enjoyed the Overlush Mystery expansion, though!! Thanks for the feedback. We appreciate you.

@@doomlings One last note or request. It would be great if Doomlings could explore creating guidelines or rules to allow for deck building to be used in a game. I find Doomlings to be more fun when you create personal custom decks for each player with less variations of cards but multiple copies of the same card. If other people were to learn this style of playing Doomlings not only would more products sell to fill decks, but there would be more creativity & strategy when making decks. The standard play style doesn't need to go away. Maybe just call one party and the other competitive.

maybe im dumb. we pick 1 of 2 trinkets at the start of the game... where does it go, does it stay in my hand, does it sit on the mat, face up, face down? what does pocket actually mean? reveal: 1 red in hand.... does that mean i reveal the trinket when i have a red in hand? ive only played once, im confused. do i get a new trinket once i reach the pocket objective? ive only played once, im confused.

Hey there! You can have one trinket at a time, starting with the one you are given at the beginning of the game. This stays face up near your trait pile - I like to keep mine by my gene pool card, leaving one more space for when I pocket my trinkets to keep them for points. In the example you give, you are correct - you'd reveal one red card in hand to pocket that card. Once a trait is pocketed, you do not get another trait until before the next age starts. If you complete the pocket objective, you must pocket the trinket. Just got into doomlings and i absolutely love it, as does my family. Cant wait for more. Quick question though, i purchased oiterally every expansion. How do you typically play? I know you can play with just each individual expabsion and then rotate out merchants and meaning of life. But as far as the traits go, obviously i have a massive deck of them. Do you usually shuffle them all together thoroughly and then randomly take 60 of them out to play with? Or do you select specific ones to ensure that all the traits from a specific set are included in the deck. For example: playing with all of the traits from imaginary ends, all of the regular traits and then the dinolings. Im just wondering whats recommended. I know u can play any way u want but i was curious if it was better to try to include all the traits from whatever expansions your choosing to play with. Ive found that shufflinf every trait set together and picjing 60 of them at random can make it difficult to find cards that work together sometimes. For example the elfling that venefits from having more of the mythlings in the game. Sometimes if u shuffle and pick a random 60 traits, you dont get many cards that are pqrt of their own set. Its definitely fun to have a giant pool of cards because u dont know what your going to get, but there also has to be some structure and limits to streamline the game. Just curious how y'all tupically play when u use several expansions combined.

However, it's really up to you and your preferences. Some people like to play with ALL the cards, some only like doing one at a time... whatever YOU enjoy is the best combination possible. Cards that have this mechanic are typically "World's End" cards, which do activate at the end of the game in player turn. Makes the game even more exciting, because things can change at any moment.

Love this game! My oldest son won the base game and my youngest won promos and packs from your wheel last year at Gencon. We ended up buying the deluxe wooden box and picked up more promos this year at Gencon. Great game for the family to play and collect together.
