@Netaudiowf16 сағат бұрын
Sure will, but being a 2021, I would pull the radio and verify which radio harness you have before ordering anything. 2021-22 is when they started rolling out the new radios with the new plugs, so its hit or miss on what year needs what parts. If it's one big plug, it's a 41, if it's two plugs its a 42.

i feel like i must point out there is a ground stud on the drivers side of the 5th gen ram under the back set close to the rear of the cab that has a nut on it. it is for the e-torque battery. if you don't have e-torque it's still there and not being used.clean off the paint around it and i GUARANTEE that is a sufficient ground 100%!!! but you should upgrade the body to battery ground, no smaller than 4 gauge.
@Netaudiowf2 күн бұрын
Yes, there is a ground stud for the eTorque back there, and it can be used up to a certain point if it is prepped correctly. But I can also tell you story after story of customers using that stud, or one of the other ones back there, and it causing issues with their electronics. So we just encourage making your own ground so that there is less of a chance of that causing problems with our products and the customer's installation.

@@Netaudiowf thanks for responding and that was good info on the alpine system you are the only one i found that explained it. i agree sometimes your new amp is nowhere near that stud. nothing wrong with doing your own ground. that way you can keep it short and put it where you need it. anyone reading this do not use a cheap self tapping screw- clean paint off the area nut bolt and a star washer if you are unsure pay a trusted professional to do the install.

Thanks for the video, I have a quick question. From what I've read there isn't a need to bypass the ANC if you're using the PAC Amp Pro just for additional subwoofers, the ANC will still work as intended using the factory sub and speakers. Is there a reason you used the ANC bypass in this situation? Were you removing the factory sub to put in the new ones? Thanks!
@Netaudiowf5 күн бұрын
If you're using the APSub then yes, you still need the ANC bypass and it comes with one. If you're doing the AP4 6-channel setup and completely bypassing the factory amplifier, then technically no, you don't need it, but we still use it to keep the factory amp with power and data to help minimize issues with codes and errors on the dealership scan tools. No need to let them see issues that aren't really issues.

My issue with these is it seems they just don't turn off completely. Am I crazy or is it that the case? I listen to rap and metal, rap sounds horrible even with the knob turned all the way down, metal sounds decent. Idk...

With the level control down all the way it has zero effect on the output, so that shouldn't be the case. If you have questions about setting it up, I would give AudioControl a call. Their tech support is great.

very nice excellent work tho just kind of curious but with the fuse setup for power why not use a circuit breaker instead so that you never have to replace
@Netaudiowf20 күн бұрын
Ideally, a fuse shouldn't have be getting replaced on a regular basis. If you're regularly blowing fuses then you have some bigger issues. And circuit breakers are great, in the right application. But constant tripping and resetting breakers takes a toll on their contacts and they do have a life cycle. Not to mention they are significantly more expensive. So for this application, we prefer to use traditional fuses.

What are the best 3.5” speakers for the dash?
@NetaudiowfАй бұрын
We prefer to run a component set for more power handling than just a 3.5" coax in the dash. If you just want to upgrade the dash speakers and leave the rest of the system factory, then it depends on which sound system is in the truck now to be a good blend with the rest of the system.

I have a 2018 300s hemi, recently swapped out the factory radio, because of screen delam. Have had a ton of bass inefficiencies. Lots of punch up front above the dash when you lean forward, but lacking from the driver seat and back from there. This is even with my CT sounds single 12" box with the Alpine R series facing the rear of the vehicle. I have two Audiopipe 15s and a JBL 18" Tornado series on hand, and was thinking about using the spare tire area to build an enclosure. You caught my attention when you mentioned an amp rack mounted there and use the tire retainer to hold it all down. I had the same thought with a custom 15 or 18" speaker build inside the tire well. I wish i was closer to you guys, as I live near Detroit, and dont drive the car in Winter months. But Texas is too far for me to offer my car for a doner lol. Called to get more info & possibly order for my HK system. Was told 13-14 wk wait...from order, build, to shipping. Is this cuz of waiting list or backorder parts???
@NetaudiowfАй бұрын
It's a combination of factors, mainly time. We're a small shop, 2 fabricators, 2 techs, shipping guy and media guy, and we stay busy. We typically have 100+ orders in line. When everyone wants something special and different, there is no way to predict and inventory the enclosures we offer. Same with these behind the seat setups. Normal enclosure orders are around 12 weeks, with these we do them in batches and they're pretty regularly 8-10 weeks, but still a wait time to get them mixed in with the regular orders. When we're the only people offering the solutions that customers want, they understand and don't mind the wait, others don't. I get it, but this is the world we live in around here.

It should be, yes. The 42 has the two plugs at the radio that Mopar switched over to in 2021-22, but they didn't do it straight across the board. We have seen 2023s with the single large plug. I would recommend pulling the radio and double checking before ordering any parts for it.

I had subwoofers installed on my 5th gen, when I try to raise the volume it stops getting louder at around volume 25 but it goes up to 36. I’m not sure if they used a harness. Depends on the application. If the amplifier's bass knob has a clipping indicator on it, we will use that one. If not, we use the Pac one since it's small. They're doing the same thing, so one isn't better than the other.
