I'm still on my first harmonica, and maybe there is an obvious answer, but what would prevent someone just buying a brass sheet of the same thickness as reeds - around 1 to 1.5mm (those usually cost like less than 10USD/pounds/whatever), and cut them in the same shape as the reed and solder it in? With this technique, one could theoretically get a lifetime's supply of reeds from that single sheet.

I've been using the "here comes the bride", to tune my lips. sort of like a guitarist tuning the strings before playing. otherwise i'd actually play the wrong notes, especially with all those half note intervals in the hole 3 draw. or when switching to another position.

thank you. i think this is a fun way to learn the major scale in other positions. plus learning that first note which is 4 intervals lower.

I agree about using short and frequent sessions. The more times you struggle to remember something, the better you learn it. It's like you are eliminating all the wrong ways of remembering something.
