I love the whole basis of Guardians is we’re supposed to be defenders of civilization and blessed with these godly powers…. But instead we’re basically loot hungry gremlins that genocide entire rooms of enemies again and again for just a semi decent roll of a weapon, or kill literal Gods for a gun we’ll use for a week. If you really think about it Guardians are just goblins obsessed with memes and doing dumb stuff like launching each other off cliff faces with an eager edge sword or dying trying to do flips on a sparrow 😂

Playing in 2024. Not sure if anybody will see this but this but Zavala and Caiatl have come a long way since this moment. In The Final Shape, there is a line where Zavala tells Caiatl to take the lead. Years ago, maybe she would have. The Caiatl of the past would gladly have pushed Zavala aside in his moment of weakness and seized power. But Caiatl knows Zavala. She knows he would never step aside unless he didn’t mean to return. So when Zavala asks her to lead, Caiatl says: “No. You will lead. And all of Sol will follow.”

Fun fact: Were actually one of the weaker guardians. The guardians you play as in the games are some of the weaker guardians in the universe however were unique in that we arent limited in one type of powers we can use. Unlike other guardians we are able to use both light and dark as we act as a conduit for both powers to meet harmoniously.

Seriously though what jokester would even rationally dare oppose the Guardian or whatever side they are on at this point? They need to consider several things beforehand... 1. Has the Guardian all-ready beaten you in the past? 2. Has the Guardian defeated your Armies in the past? 3. Can you defeat your own Armies single-handedly like the Guardian can? 4. Can you perform the same feats and overcome the same threats the Guardian has? 5. Can you beat Gods? 6. Compare how many times you have saved the universe to how many times the Guardian has saved the universe. 7. Are you literally immortal like the Guardian is?

As if those Snipers would even do anything. We dodge Snipers while being shot at by ground troopers and a gunship while Dragon Dogs try to bite our legs off every other day.
