Nice imagery and an emotional hook but one thing bothers me about the story. The islands are asking for help but where did they learn English or whatever language the world is speaking. It doesn't make any sense that they would know.

It's a short story, not meant to go into the whole background of how they learned or what this society is. It requires a suspension of disbelief. But I hear ya. Some of these stories will be better than others. I'm trying to see what resonates, what's a winner and what bombs. Lol. It's all experimental!

I finally JUST watched this. Geez. I can't believe it took me that long! I need to reorganize Evernote. And what the hell is wrong with me? I Use the website and not the app. Headed to app store now.
