I believe it's actually closer to Ridgecrest than it is to Lone Pine. Lone Pine's actually closer to Manzanar.

I referenced Lone Pine because Hwy 395 runs through town. I've never been to Ridgecrest but looks like it's close to the 395.

Thank you! This place is amazing and worth spending the entire day exploring but get there early to avoid the long line of traffic to enter! I would suggest heading straight to the Rainbow Vista scenic drive before all the other folks get there. ENJOY!!

It looks amazing up there! I really love nature, the frozen waterfalls especially are spectacular. I don't live near any high mountains, but I still like to make nature videos. Mt Whitney is the 11th highest mountain in USA, the the top 10 highest are all in Alaska, but this is amazing!

I used to live in Hollywood in the early 60's then we moved to Cypress California. Then in 1965 or 66 we moved back to Charleston SC. Beautiful weather there in California, that's for sure. Hello and thank you very much for this lovely video. I noticed that you did not prime your foam core board before painting. I would like to do an Acrylics painting but not pouring....on a large foam core board that have and I wonder if I need to put a gesso on it beforehand. Please advice. Appreciate it.

The main problem with painting on foam core is it curling a bit as it dries. I found if you glue it down to a firm backing board it resolves the problem!
