Do you provide a step-by-step course on model retouching with Photoshop? I’m looking for a course designed for beginners who have never used the software. Or is your course more suited for someone who is already familiar with it?
@RoarFactory4 күн бұрын
Hey there ☺️ I teach product photography and retouching for beginners to intermediate. From setting up your home studio space, to photographing your first photo, to learning how to edit with adobe lightroom and photoshop. As for “model” retouching.. it’s not really tailored to that even though you could learn a lot from the retouching side, I would prefer you to find someone who teaches this specifically to ensure you achieve your goals a lot quicker

You could now swap out the blue cans and swap in the yellow cans. Repeat the photo with the yellows then change the tub and background color in post. I, too, would be interested in seeing your editing process.

Great Tuto Thanks!! how do you match the color from props and Product? i thought it was going to be in this video. However thks
@RoarFactory8 күн бұрын
You're welcome! I’ll create a video on this if enough people are interested… essentially, I create a layer in photoshop, change the blend mode to ‘colour’ and then brush away using the ‘brush tool’ with the colour you are trying to match.

What is the difference with this and a slow motion video?
@RoarFactory13 күн бұрын
Stop motion combines multiple frames of photos to create a video… so if you’re a photographer, this might be an easier way to create a slow motion video. As for video, it gets a little more technical and may require a specific video camera that has features to record at higher frame rates. For example, with video, most cameras will allow you to record between 25 - 50 frames per second… however for nice slow motion, you will need to record at 100 fps or higher. If you do some research on KZbin, you might notice some really good slow motion is recorded at 500 - 1000 fps 🤩 hope this helps

Hi @Roar Factory /Jacob, thank you for your content. It seems you skipped some steps sometimes which make it hard to follow for very beginners. For example : how to make the selection black or how to select black with the brush tool. Photoshop is not much intuitive either. It would be so helpful to see all steps.

Love the video. Are you using spirit levels to ensure that everything is level? I've done shoots where to the naked eye things looked level, but were slightly warped (especially if doing wider) and the higher you boom your camera, the more precarious it is cuz the lightstand and arm will flex when extended. I also always have a step stool cuz i'm short.

If you're shooting a large object that takes a great deal of frame watch your aperture. You don't want to be much higher than peak sharpness (google it for your lens) otherwise you could run into soft cornerw

Hello, thank you for sharing. I am just starting on Photoshop. I couldn't move the object the same way you moved the can since it's telling me "Could not move the selection because the pixels in a group cannot be edited without merging the group." Is there a step to add without merging the group ? Also I was trying to keep some reflection in addition to the shadow but when I've reach the point of adjusting the levels it didn't work out. What would be the steps to use this method for reflections ?
